I fear that we will see more of the same treatment tomorrow.
It looks as if the MM's have known something was coming
as they have been walking this share down for the last week
or so on small sells creating a snowball effect as others have
panicked and sold. [Should have taken heed and dumped my
shares as well] Same pattern repeating it's self for another year.

So now we all know, and for long term holders it's a 14.7% loss
today. We have seen 33% of the value lost in the last 3 months.

Bernie, I would not think of topping-up as if you look at the
trend [chart] by results [September] I think this share with the aid
of the mm's will be trading around the 1:00# mark.

May be worth a punt then. [IMO, I would not add].

Yes we have 8 new customers signed by the group for what good
that has done shareholders. 3 years of holding this share, seeing
contracts signed, thinking that I would see growth in my investment.
Only to see the company 'treading water' with the share price
jumping around on small trades but always heading back down.

Even the 'bottom draw' is complaining that I should clear this out.

if this is only a temporary blip, then I am not too concerned as I am an investor not a trader...

hang on in there and have confidence ;-)

The trading statement has now taken the bid down to below my average buy price! For the first time on this share I am in the minus % profit rather than the plus 50%!!!!! May buy more to try and sort this before the next statement!!!

Good for you - you might see £4 before you retire :) I really hope we get some sustained impetus this time round.

Welcome aboard all the new holders and welcome back Silverfern! Looks like you got it right - out at 291 and back in at 235. Although I thought that it would fall back cos it always does for no bloody reason I wasnt prepared to take the risk of losing out. Still in for the long term and £4+....

PEG 0.3

31/12/2007

PE 7.4
Growth rate 25%
PEG 0.3

If CHR comes close to it's 2006 eps of 24p, and the PE corrects to just 12, then this gives a price of 288p (a modest 30% gain on today!). A PE 12 on 2007 eps of 30p equates to 360p. When comparing a possible forward PE of 12 against it's eps growth rates and the sector PE, these forecasts seem somewhat conservative.

On the 19th April 06 Charles Stanley stated "we expect eps growth of 55% in 2006". Even taking into account their house broker status, this statement of confidence must have some credence.

You could have got them for 225p. I told you so. This one is always like that.

That proves that the MMs are overflowing with stock to unload near the AGM on the 20th.
A great buy right now. Pity I have no cash.

aspex - 10 Jul'06 - 10:56 - 1809 of 1820 edit

Someone likes CHR enough to buy 20000 at 225p. OK its a T trade but one of the MMs is short of stock to fill an order so they are keen to get them.
Less Than 10 days to the AGM . I guess they know something.

About time.
That AGM is only a week away and what about the trading update which should give us an idea about the bolt ons from last year?
Worth 260p today and 300p+ by the end of next week.

Should be trading in the range of £2.70 - £3. Then the share would be undervalued. Would expect £3 plus by end of the year.

YOu have my sympathy - I sold at 291p in May (just about 60 days ago!) because I was fed up waiting for this to hold above 300p. Of course if I had spare dosh now I'd buy again, but I am convinced the Directors don't care much for the share price and therefore share-holders.

CHR is a very solid company - the drop is normal but all the same well overdone. If I had any funds I would be using this dip for topping up.
