Well done on you gains.

It's a risky one what with commons vote today and results out next week but with some positive news there could be a little more to come ?

Cant help but feel this merger news has come a little to early (for me anyway) as I personally hoped one of the big players would have taken an interest a couple of years down the line with a share price a lot higher than it is today ?

Logical move for both parties. The CCFS mgmt team are amongst the best in the market having successfully evolved theier model through the financial crisis. Wouldn’t surprise me if it led to other interest. With margins under massive pressure in mainstream lending, acquiring a business / lending book and team with a successful track record of success in specialist markets could be attractive. Suspect they’ll be forced to RNS on Monday. Feeling rather pleased with my purchase at 234!

This is now firmly moving up; still a good price to get in at.

Yes BTL, a lot of bad news written in the price. They are financially stable and ironically stock market losses are likely to mean more turn to BTL as a more stable investment IMO.

Strong update:

Loan book[1] up 28.2% year-on-year to £5.5 billion (Q1 2017: £4.3 billion)

New loan originations of £668.2 million in the quarter with strong performance in core segments of buy to let and specialist residential

Maintained strong asset quality and credit performance in the quarter

Ian Lonergan, CEO of Charter Court, said:

"I am pleased to report another strong quarter for Charter Court. We have successfully maintained the strong momentum in our mortgage originations pipeline at year end 2017 into the first quarter of 2018, while taking the opportunity to price up our mortgage products in response to higher swap rates. In line with our strategy, we continued to work just as hard on the liability side of our balance sheet, taking advantage of favourable capital markets conditions to successfully execute two securitisations in the quarter totalling £620.6 million.

Looking ahead, we continue to see strong demand for our buy to let and specialist residential mortgages and remain confident in our stated financial targets."

Going nicely - up over 5% today.Seems to have had a modest issue price. IPO's are not generally my thing, but seems that at times brokers/issuers want to create momentum to create interest in new offers.

I've been researching CCFS this weekend and agree with all already said here - bottom line - buy order in for tomorrow morning.

Yes indeed, pleased that i hold both. The ALD bid should now highlight the apparent undervaluation in the sector.

CCFS was arguably cheaper than ALD too.

Hi cfro and nurdin. Good to have some early company. This could do well. Fingers crossed we have caught the end of the early share price drift.
