Swizz That info isn't strictly correct. I saw the original on twitter with a link about the hiring of new contractor. That is a bit premature because the link shows that negotiations are taking place with new contractor and at an advanced stage. So nothing signed as yet but does sound as though it won't be long.

Interesting to note tha the Staten Island Department of Transport consider that the new contractor is indeed confirmed,......GL S

In April, Cocola said the DOT was going to delay beginning its upgrades to coincide with the opening of Empire Outlets, which had initially been set for Black Friday 2017. But he did give a summer 2017 start date.

"You try to tie initiatives with the opening," he explained of the reasoning.

TOURISTS, CARS WILL POUR IN

While the New York Wheel opening is further delayed, with the project months behind schedule since the developer fired the builder and recently hired a new one, the outlets are expected to open next spring.

Both projects along the waterfront on the north side of the St. George Ferry Terminal are expected to bring tourists, shoppers, more cars and buses to the area, necessitating transit investments to handle the influx.

On the south side of the ferry terminal will be Lighthouse Point, a residential and commercial development which will also bring more people and traffic to the corridor. Its first tenants are expected in spring 2018.

The DOT's initial 18 transit upgrades include configuring lanes, adding turning prohibitions, optimizing signal timings, and installing more traffic signals, high-visibility crosswalks and pedestrian signals.

It also will prohibit parking at approaches and enforce parking restrictions, which have long been the bane of drivers' existence, trying to find parking in an area severely limited but open to people willing to flout the law.

What a mm scam eh they drop it and only let people sell and refuse to offer anything online. This stock is a pain to trade. You can never buy on a dip and never sell on a spike. Sorry but it's almost criminal what the mm's do here.
