Incredible that there has been only 3 views of that latest vid. Sentiment and interest, not just re CGH though, is just so poor at present.

Tweet from the Kumtor Twitter account:

Centerra approves 2018 budget of $6.5m for this year's 60,000m drilling programme (to extend LOM of Kumtor).

Probably par of the course and not something to read anything into.

So it should be a very busy 6.5 weeks for Chaarat!!

All (or a lot) will be revealed very soon.

And of course: The 2017 $15 million secured loan notes mature on 30 September 2018.

Labro subscribed to $375,000 of these loan notes, Martin Wiwen-Nilsson also took up $375,000 worth.

End of September we should also get the H1 interim report.

Also liked the anecdote he gave of the 20m cut-out of bulldozed road surface containing 2g/t gold - illustrating the awesome mineralization along the strike.

New video out over on proactive. 10,000 meters drilled so far. Interim resource update due mid to latest end of September but definitely by end of q3.

Direct link to YouTube clip:

New news that I noted from the clip:

He is anticipating not only an increase in size but also a significant increase in the grade of the Tulkubash deposit. (currently 35,244,000 tonnes at 0.86 g/t -- so "significant increase" could maybe put it above 1g/t, which based on the last resource statement should put Tulkubash at 1.2 million oz? Add to that the newly drilled areas and we could see an interim resource statement putting Tulkubash at 1.5m oz? With the remaining drilling program pushing it to 2m oz?)

He expects more of the contained tonnes being amenable to heap leach based on the new recovery model, following improved geological data, leading to increase in reserves and probably an additional contributor to an increase in grade of the deposit.

9th drill rig due this week. Three more rigs to be added thereafter, so 12 drill rigs in total in two weeks or so. He clarified reasons for only having completed a third of the 30k meters at almost the halfway point and that going forward it should really notch up, so no problem completing the 30k meters.

Next drilling update RNS week after next, followed by the interim resource statement update
----------

If the next drilling RNS is due around 27th then that brings us closer to the 15k meters mark - perhaps with the ramp up might even get there?

Two bits of news we should likely see within the next 7-odd days:

1. Further drilling update since the 31/7 one (previous two updates occurred resp. 18 and 21 days after the last)

2. Centerra update about the Kumtor Strategic Agreement. Their last official update on this was that the longstop deadline date would be pushed back to August 24th. If pushed back a fifth(?) time then that still leaves the door open for Chaarat. If not then we should see the share suspension lifted?

From what I gather from local Kyrgyz news the PM is planning to put a proposal re. Kumtor before parliament in September. One would expect this to have been agreed with Centerra beforehand, which could fit with a 24th August longstop deadline.

O/T

I have had several confirmations from various sources, that I pay for, that
JP Morgan has now locked and loaded its Trap of Double cross in Paper Gold.

When Dracula decides it is the right time, all remaining paper Gold shorts will be crucified.

JP Morgan will (over the years)make $Billions from its fraudulently accumulated
Gold and possibly 750 Million ounces of Silver.

This is looking a certainty, though Dracula will welcome more shorts to be sacrificed so it doesn`t mean Gold wont go down a little bit more, albeit possibly
splitting hairs for those truly enjoying buying the bargain for long term.

For Myself,I have been slamming all spare cash into Vaulted Silver.

Doubt it, Sparks. Africa is more Randgold's thing.

Not sure if any of the big Western gold miners would even want to invest in Central Asia and FSU countries.

Article about Randgold looking to buy and consolidate smaller single-asset miners. Doubt they would touch Central Asia with a barge pole but what we can take away from it is: what's good for the goose is good for the gander....lots to consolidate in Chaarat's neck of the woods....

The boss of Randgold Resources has said the miner is on the hunt for acquisitions as smaller rivals struggle.

Mark Bristow said the “flat” gold price had put pressure on companies to find financing to develop their assets. “We’ve signalled we’re looking [for deals],” he said. “We’ve got the balance sheet and we’ve got the skills. We might be able to pick out some opportunities.”

The chief executive of London’s biggest gold miner added that it was eyeing companies with only one asset that could be sitting on top-class, “tier-one” mines and ripe for consolidation. “I’ve been very outspoken about the industry requiring rearrangement, reinvention,” he said.

Further to my earlier post, here are some pics of the event organised by UK embassy in Kyrgystan which was attended by Martin A (he's the one in prime position, I think the ambassador is second from his left)

I looked at the Twitter account of our ambassador there and was pleased to see he had retweeted news from Chaarat's latest drilling results. Great to see Chaarat backed by HM FCO officials.

Looks like Artem followed Deripaska onto the board by the request of Deripaska (Rusal):

"RUSAL nominates Deripaska to Norilsk Nickel board. On April 5, 2018 it was reported that Oleg Deripaska, the major shareholder of Russian aluminum giant UC RUSAL, was included in a list of candidates to a new board of directors of metals giant Norilsk Nickel. RUSAL, which owns 27.8% in Norilsk Nickel, nominated a total of five people to the company’s board, including Artyom Volynets, who is not currently a member of the board."

Previously Artem was known as the "lieutenant" of Oleg Deripaska.

Anyone still have doubts re. Mr. Deripaska being involved with Chaarat?

You can see why he would be hesitant to step forward seeing as he is being personally targeted by the United States sanctions on Russia. (His name now also mentioned in the trial against Manafort, flowing out of the Trump-Russia collusion investigation: )

As far as I can gather, Deripaska already has/had gold and other assets in Kyrgyzstan, though it's quite difficult to research (a web of different parent companies and subsidiaries).

Both ISA and SIPP for me.

I think a merger (or some sort of deal) between HGM and CGH at some point in the future seems to make an awful lot of sense. But first CGH needs to beef up so that it can be a proper marriage of equals. If CGH owns Kumtor then it is a no-brainer, imo.

Politically this makes so much sense also - Putin is all about deepening the "sphere of Russian influence" and having a major gold miner with assets across the former Soviet Union would be just the ticket. No way he will let the Chinese or Western companies take out all the jewels in the crown.

The goal really is to have a "soviet" Barrack/Goldfields etc.

I don't hold HGM but this is my 3rd largest holding in my ISA (it's my "shoot for the moon" play )

So a favourable outcome would be very (tax-free) welcome

I would be surprised if Martin A. is really the king of Chaarat land. I think ultimately he may be shown to be a Prince Regent with Artem as general in the mighty Russian army and Oleg Deripaska and Abramovich firmly in charge, with the blessing of Putin.
