best not to send a 'template' query -- it will look orchestrated.

My view is to put to them exactly what you do feel (in your own words) about the situation -- the point being to bring the matter to their attention.

Anything to be gained from PIs buying a few hundred quid each and holding on to them ? I haven't a clue as to what is happening here other than that it appears highly irregular.

2magpies - I'd like to write to the takeover panel but again haven't a clue as to how to frame such a letter. Should we put our heads together on this BB with a view to framing such a letter or are there those who have already done so, and if they have would it be an idea to post the template on this BB with a view to other PIs writing to them ?

Think I'll change my name to clueless.

I suggest we all e-mail the takeover panel, and ask them to (1)request info from CET re who is buying @ more than 8x the Maymask bid, and (2) remind CET that NO one connected with CET in ANY way is allowed to buy @ levels above the Maymask bid, i.e. 0.00023

how anyone can recommend an allshare offer of 0.023p is beyond belief and say they are pleased! dwelling a little further it could not have happened if the 28/29% shareholder had agreed on the terms. what further terms entail are anyones guess.

Corporate action is NOT over: Maymask have to have 90% to force the remaining holders to sell.

If they don't reach this level, then the minority shareholders will continue to have legal rights (Common Law)

No one connected with anyone in CET is allowed to acquire shares @ a price greater than 0.00023 -- it's a breach of the City Takeover Code, and is illegal.

There could be a hefty fine -- probably well more than the £50k

It is a real puzzle as to who really is buying.

Watch out for Al-Doori getting involved, seems he's a good mate of RT's. Helped him out with apparently fictitious invoices and the infamous WUP.

I wouldn't trust anything any of them are involved with.

As the corporate action is over, how can they accept the offer. You now can only sell to the MM's, there is nothing to be accepted, the deal is done, although I am not sure about non CREST shares (certifcates). If Maymask buy then they have to buy at .023p, as well as make it public (well that' my understanding).

If Maymask suddenly appear with more than 75% of the shares, which they had on closing when declaring the unconditonal acceptance, where did they get the others from. It would raise serious questions !!!!

All in my opinion

Jumpin could be right. Makes sense. Somebody outside the company but who knows the mgmt mopping up the shares. Could explain why we've seen buying the past week or so. If you add up the buys over the past couple of weeks it's almost 6 million.

I posted this two weeks ago. It would appear Maymask/CET have people buying shares on their behalf but are not connected to any of the boards of these companies and thus accept the offer.

Helen Prandy of Mills & Reeve LLP, Cambridge would be able to assist share holders in the legal aspects of this atrocity if they have the stomach and funds to fight it.

No funds rob............well and truly lost my life savings to these scum.... as in Meldex........'scum could be anyone btw' including your good self and me for the avoidance of doubt:)

Does Helen do a No win no fee arrangement?

Thought not !!!!!!

Selftrade will accept the offer on your behalf if the company recommends it - you had to contact them if you did not want to take up the offer.
I "lost" my shares this way because I assumed that by not responding I was refusing the offer and read their message too late.
As a point of principal I subsequently spent £72 buying 100,000 shares so that I could refuse to sell.
Don't let the b*stards get your shares.

I am informed that Maymask (or anyone connected to them) are NOT allowed to buy @ more than 0.00023

To do so would be a breach of the City Takeover Code, and they'd be in big trouble.

So, someone else is buying.

Former director/employee? Rival co?

What we can see is that MMs are bidding 2.5x the maymask offer.

MMs are NEVER fools.

I've no idea what is going on, and who is buying the shares.

garykc, maybe it is Selftrade policy to sell if you don't tell them not to.
I'm with Barclays and they haven't sold mine - yet. I've received a letter setting out the options. But if I decide not to sell then I may have to pay to get the shares transferred to me in certificate form - and I'm sure that will cost something.

however, with a couple of weeks before delisting occurs it will be interesting to see what transpires.

2magpies -

.17 Crazy..... If its Maymask, they have to declare it. If not and they suddenly end up with 75% plus shares after the 28th then they are in big toruble as the corporate action is finished so how did they get the shares !!!

If its not them, and you are right about shorting this, then we have either a mad man on the loose or someone is in the know.

I am convinced there is going to be a twist to this. That doesn't necessarily mean a benefit for us, but something just not quite right.

I for one, am certainly holding on to them.

I.

Someone just paid .17

Why? What do they know?

5piggs

I doubt if this share could have been shorted. Too small.

You might find that if your shares went for 0.0023 then your dealing fees may have swallowed up your cash, bearing in mind that 100,000 shares is equivalent to £23

I would be seriously p@@@ed off, if that happened to me. My on-line account states, that if I don't vote, it is taken as a rejection. Yours appears the other way around, which is not good.

Someone paid .13 for 750k this morning. Someone wants these shares or are being stiched up by MM for closing their shorts.

Either way, they are not getting my shares.

I.

I have just gone into my Selftrade account to see my holding and was surprised to see that I have no shares and no cash. I don't trade often as you can tell, but I checked and had an e-mail stating that I had to inform them by a certain date or my shares would be sold. I can't do anything about that now, but where is my cash??? Also, if anybody is holding now, can you sell your shars?
