I agree whatsup, this is the reason I will not buy into TUI. Telecoms BT & Vodafone are cheap at the moment , but still don't tempt me with buying 5G licenses . Glencore my old favorite ( no stamp duty ) has dropped from about about 340p in the last month. It is a job to know what to go for. Have a stake in Barclays at the moment, down a bit from purchase price

JP... Tui have 737Max parked up due to Boeing grounding and they were due to receive another 6? In a few months time. My understanding is the grounding of 737Max May continue for a very long time and safety agencies in EU and China will no longer rubber stamp FAA findings and will want to re-certify them selves.
This will cost them about €300 million at a guess if this continues for another 4 months.

Consider Aviva , solid company , good balance sheet , stable future earnings , I’m in at 478p they are currently around 410p.

FYI. All my holdings here are down , so you may not want to put too much weight on my say so

diku, are you going for the biggest plonker on the ADVFN site. Put your brain in gear for a change and think what you are saying for once ! For a start, yes I did help the chap ( I have know for 30 years ). The next thing is I don't boast about anything. I was saying, try to look at the bright side of things, never all the negatives . I mention 3 companies I was holding and feel fortunate that I'm not holding them now because I sold them and if I had kept them all I would losing a fortune . Please put your brain in gear before making any more stupid comments or trying to run somebody down

Diku , jp is good enough to post some of his friends very sad experience. I wouldn’t want anyone to go through the thought of suicide.

Why do you have the need to make fun of his comment.

Off topic, Anyone on here got British gas home care electrical cover? I found it hard to get an appointment and when I did it was a sub contractor, fair play to the guy he was OK but I'm thinking of changing to Scottish hydro due to lack of availability in appointments.

In life we have to look at the positives, I sold Royal Mail at 4.29 ( 59k pound worth ) look at them now, I last sold Vodafone at 204p ( 57k pounds worth ) and Marks at 3.32 ( 57k pound ) again look at where they are. Not everything is bad news for us

Yes I'm all for anybody making money, good for them. Just feel sorry for the chaps who bought this at the wrong price in hindsight . I use to work with a chap who had about 15 companies in his portfolio . I remember two of them went bust and he lost nearly all his money, and he was in a terrible almost suicidal state. Years later he always looked depressed and if anybody mentioned the stock market he went white. Don't wish that on anybody

I added more Aviva and Tui and losing on both at pixel. Looking at Aviva recommendations, dividend history and their money in the bank I just couldn’t resist it . Even though I’m losing on them, plan to add more next week.

Even Tui , half price what they were .

Fortunately I have Microsoft from golden olden days that doesn’t seem to know when to stop .
