23/1/2019 09:10 | Should someone set up a Brexit / CNA forum separate to the CNA chat ? | nortic 007

23/1/2019 09:03 | "GoldpigUK22 Jan '19 - 22:56 - 15523 of 15528 0 0 0 The Government was defeated by 230 votes on its Brexit plan. That is Parliamentary democracy in action. The job of mp's is being representatives not delegates and 432 mp's could not support the Brexit deal. I am no different so I presume you think 432 mp's are anti democracy. Goldpig" "demos noun the common people of an ancient Greek state. the populace of a democracy as a political unit." Representatives of the will of the people is democracy, nothing else, especially when the question has been asked and answered with such a strong mandate. | argylerich
23/1/2019 08:45 | I have looked at Lse, Stockmarketwire, and HL , could not see one. Not looking good here at the moment, hopefully will pick up later. | jpjohn1

23/1/2019 07:57 | The FT 100 looks negative to start with, I have it at about -26 to start with | jpjohn1
22/1/2019 22:23 | It seems Goldpig your the new anti democracy poster on here, you would be better with the Lloyds posts, it will be more to your liking. Their are a few on there to agree with you. Most on CNA believe in the democratic vote, we vote for. Try 17.4 million | jpjohn1
22/1/2019 20:06 | Hi, The Brexiteers are on the move. Sir James Dyson another vocal Brexit supporter has now announced he is moving his HQ out of Britain. He now believes post Brexit, the UK is not the place to build electric vehicles. So Dyson will now be moving his HQ to Singapore and his company will be registered in Singapore... Brilliant isn't it! But of course Singapore signed a free trade pact with the EU on October 19th 2018 (after 8 years of talks) so probably a sound business decision. Goldpig | goldpiguk
22/1/2019 19:16 | Goldpig...May is reaching out to Corbyn and other parties...but Corbyn has other ideas... | diku
22/1/2019 19:10 | Hi, I don't quite understand your recent posts Mercer95, diku, and supermarky. It is all well and good making fun of Labour but I wouldn't. Clearly the UK's richest man (Sir Jim Ratcliffe) and a prominent Brexiteer is a little concerned. Having said how great this country would be outside the EU, his company INEOS has now warned that a no deal Brexit scenario would involve "significant risk" to its business. So what is Sir Jim doing? He is upping sticks and moving to mainland Europe with his £21.05 billion fortune. Although not in the EU Monaco, where he will make his new home uses the Euro. His actions really say all that need to be said. Does he fear Brexit will bring in a Corbyn Government or does he just think he will be better off living in a country with close ties to the EU? 22/1/2019 16:14 | If Labour were not so hard left they could almost be electable. They need to be new Labour again to get the mainstream electorate to core for them. They are backed by the hard left momentum loonies for now. The moderate socialists are stifled. | supermarky
22/1/2019 15:04 | Corbyn comes across a bit like Michael Foot...remember him?...talks the talk but not a Statesman in the eyes of others...Neil Kinnock was another...but now he is enjoying life with the EU... | diku
22/1/2019 14:59 | Labour haven’t got a clue, they need Sherlock Holmes 🕵️ | mercer95
22/1/2019 14:48 | Talking of Tom Watson...I heard a snippet of his speech during the Government confidence vote last week...he spoke very eloquently...think Labour has a chance with him not Corbyn.... | diku
22/1/2019 09:47 | Can you honestly imagine commie Corbyn, snarling McDonnell but everything will be good financially we can have Diane Abbott to do that. Lol | jpjohn1
22/1/2019 08:42 | Yes Jp perhaps we should start our own party to sort this mess out!If Corbyn and Abbot were ever to be elected it would in my opinion be catastrophic, however, I would respect the democratic decision of the people of this great country. Cna results 21st Feb. Not too far off. Could there be a tiny catalyst to enable the long awaited resurgence in the sp?Us shareholders have had all hope beaten out of us but we must remind ourselves of the lowly position of the share price and things can start to change.....to the upside. Hopefully before we all die of old age. | supermarky
22/1/2019 05:41 | His popularity is at an all time low so it's doubtful. Could you imagine what would happen if Corbyn and Abbott were in charge! | gaffer73
21/1/2019 22:23 | My nightmare scenario is happening . Corbyn has backed plans for a second referendum. May has opposed it . If there is elections there is a risk he could get in. | whatsup32
21/1/2019 18:45 | Evening Nortic, if we get a surge like when it went up to 164p again I will almost certainly downsize again, I've had good divs , so not too big a loss. We say how bad we are doing, but I was looking the other day in my records ( 22 months ago ) I had ITV. I bought just really for the dividend, I made 1,400 pound only having it one day. If I would have kept them now I would be down 23,000 pound !! So we do, do some things right at times | jpjohn1 |
