Dow certainly very volatile, 785 points range. Looking good for us tomorrow it looks like at the moment + 74 start, hopefully we can wipe out Tuesday's loss. :)

Agree with you whatsup, this is a good company, it will get back up there, sometimes I wish it would there a bit quicker though. We do seem to be stuck in the 1.30s a long time now

I half agree with you pvee. Yes Trump is deluding himself if he thinks there will be no reprisals. He is a dangerous leader who will cause more problems for the world and America ,then solve.

But I do believe CNA is an excellent company to invest in at this time.

Recent results were good,
Outlook positive
Dividend resenably secure for the next two years .
Yield 8%
Selling of Nuclear and Spirit
Political insecurity reduced

I could go on but you get the drift on why some of us are positive

We do pvee, I think most of us bought at a lot higher price, it's been stuck in the 1.30s for far to long. This should be a good defensive stock, recently we hit 1.47 before dropping back. Still think this will be about the 1.50 mark before xdiv. There are quite a few good company's on year lows at the moment. Often the worst performing shares one year are the best performing shares the following year. Looking forward to this getting back to the two pound + share, it will get there just have to be patient :)

I don't agree with Porty etc - Trump is deluding himself as usual about the US - does he think for one minute that other countries will accept his protectionism without being slammed with the same taxes on imports ?

Touché - when will this stupid fiasco end - such idiotic leaders we have to put up with

Lots of volatility will help the traders but in the end reason will prevail - I suppose it was deliberate to help him and his frends to benefit from a high market

By the way CNA is supposed to be a solid investment (lol until recently) so I can't understand posters making comments almost by the minute. Is this a tech stock ?

If EDF shelves the nuclear power plant that’s planned to be built in Suffolk how would It effect CNA . Board have put their nuclear stake up for sale and I was wondering if it would be more sellable.

1. Less competition
2. Less power in the grid , higher resell price
Or
3. Green energy more popular by the government hence no support for nuclear projects and no buyers for Cna stake
