If people are now panic selling perhaps we are getting close to the nadir? Centrica share price has already been destroyed. For a so called defencive boring divi payer is has gone from 400 ish to 130! Profitable company. Conn needs to do what the supermarkets are doing and cut costs. I'm sorry but job losses.

It's obvious that something is known to the market IMV, if this is the case Conn should release the information to the market so that we are all playing in the same game.
I did think that if information that could affect the share price adversely was known to the company they were obliged to release that information to the market?

Guys with regret IMHO you are going to see this grind lower and lower.awful operating environment, high costs, huge pension commitments, wages rising ridiculous government noises , crazy regulator. Sell on any rallies. rather than the sole destroying watch

He sold off assets at the bottom.
Being an ex BP. director he may have fallen for the gloom surrounding big oil/gas at that time.
Shell bought some of CNA shale assets, they know what they are doing.

...but then again, who knows, in time he may be right.

Careful. I said this recently. Why has he sold off all the upstream assets at the bottom of the cycle! Idiot.

Well after breaking through support again further falls were always on the cards. It may be a great time to buy more, but this is relentless. It fell as the FTSE rose as utilities were not in vogue, now its falls are outstripping those in the market without any news. The days of buy and hold are dead. Its a traders market now and more irrational than I have ever known it in 30 years.

Shell seem to be interested in electric charging for cars at petrol stations.
I see NG. has been talking to shell and bp. on this topic.

With Shell and its connection to utility first, I was hoping that a similar deal may come from BP.
Conn was a main board director of BP. So he has all of the contacts.
There must be a huge market going forward for home based electric car charging.

CNA have the skills for this.
An announcement on those lines really would give the share price a huge boost.

Careful, where Marconi kept buying into telcoms companies, Centrica is at least trying to diversify into Renewable Energy and Storage systems that could potentially help them in the future.

It's quite possible they may end up partnering with either another Energy supplier or as someone else has said, possibly someone like SHELL who definitely seem to want to get into this sector.

I'm just bored, firing out anything just to keep my mind active and hopefully excited for this company so we can all have a great xmas 2018(Yes Nortic, get the year in there this time. ;))
