15/12/2017 09:31 | Conn buying shares 2 days ago is saying something positive. Actions speak louder than words. Centrica have said quite a lot this past month. Fate of this company is largely in the hands of the regulator. We hope common sense will prevail but all recent statements from HMG seem ignorant. | careful
15/12/2017 09:23 | SSE up .8%, NG up.9 % !!! | jpjohn1

15/12/2017 08:40 | The question is:Have they turned the US business around or can we expect another profit warning? | richj5000
15/12/2017 08:33 | Conn has the right pedigree. We must have faith. The markets are often wrong. Time will tell. | careful
15/12/2017 08:31 | mr conn SID WILL BE THEIR IN MAY | portside1
15/12/2017 08:31 | I wonder if shell or bp would be interested here. Gasprom the huge Russian gas company were a few years ago. Would never have been allowed. But Shell, now that is different. Shell say they wish to get into electric car charging. Shell do everything on a grand sale. Centrica has the skilled workforce demanded for such a rollout. Things are changing, if not Shell I still think Centrica has a future. At £7.7bn it is petty cash for Shell. ..but huge investment would follow. | careful
15/12/2017 08:30 | we must call for the CHAIRMAN TO BE SACKED AS A COMPLETE DUD AND A SILENT DUD ABOUT AS MUCH GOOD AS A BOAT IN THE DESERT | portside1
15/12/2017 08:28 | our so called chairman gets paid for doing nothing I will challenge him in may and bring them to book on their poor going forward vision which is nil most of our directors sold their holdings above 240p over the last 4 years read the annual report their is not one word in all of it about the falling share price not a mention . but a lot about targets reached . the targets were so low you would have to do nothing to achieve them | portside1
15/12/2017 08:23 | DIVS ARE GOOD BUT THE share price FALLS TO THE SAME AMOUNT , BUYING BACK SHARES REDUCES THE COST OF PAYING OUT DIVS GOING FORWARD FOR EVER | portside1
15/12/2017 08:21 | diku its down to silence anf no action as for the directors yes the ceo bought a few less than me , the rest of the bod including the dead silent useless chairman he is just dead they should use the cash to buy back shares at this level its common sense if they bought back 1.5b shares with the cash generated the share price would be well over 300p cancel the div and get on with the job needed not seat on your hands it appears the WHOLE BOARD OR NOT THAT BRIGHT | portside1
14/12/2017 21:05 | It's nice to see everybody's view. I personally vote to leave and a hard Brexit but I don't hold a grudge with anybody who wanted to stay. My argument is this is democracy and whoevers in power must carry out the wishes of this country. I would personally deselect those 11 Tory rebels so they are no longer part of the Tory party, but that is how I feel. I am suprised there is not a million March to Westminster to keep DEMOCRACY by now | jpjohn1
14/12/2017 20:07 | Problem with the referendum vote is whilst it was a vote to leave, some are saying its a was a vote for a hard brexit no matter what. Thats not what most voted for. The vote last night was for MPs to have a say on the final deal. The supremacy of parliament over every other jurisdiction is very important and a key reason to leave. | dr biotech
14/12/2017 18:57 | There should have been a referendum on the Brexit divorce bill... porty...what going on with CNA?... | diku
14/12/2017 18:11 | Nigel qualifies for a £73k EU pension and plans to draw it.What a hypocrite. The big question is whether democratically elected MP's are more important than a democratic one off referendum. We know more about it now, it is complicated and not the simple fairy story Farage and the Brexiteers bamboozled you with. Brexit will go ahead but hopefully it will be softer and closer to what we have now. We should be out, but still largely in, in line with the result of the referendum. no one was offered a referendum to go to war in WW1, or WW2 or Iraq. not the British way. | careful
14/12/2017 17:45 | Porty, I agree totally with you about the Tory scumbags who voted down the government last night but let's not also forget the Labour "Brexiteers" who also failed to support the people's decision of last June. Only 2 of the nine or so supported the vote which is in some ways more despicable than those Tories like Soubrey Clarke and Grieve who have at least stuck to their principles. Wouldn't trust any one of them frankly and for that reason I very much doubt we'll get the Brexit we voted for. Bring back Nigel to sort them out, the only politician who does what he says. | warranty
14/12/2017 17:23 | Rich re 7108, actually I'm not at all worried about either CNA or a Corbyn government. A Marxist Labour government will never win a U.K. Election and frankly I'm rubbing my hands as I buy more CNA at this silly price. I also think debt has to be considered less of an issue with a utility as their business model is completely different. Whatever they say publically, the government need the Utilities and when they take a step back and see the damage they are doing we will see a turnaround. The ridiculous effort to provide competition through all these fly by night upstarts is doing more damage than good. These companies have no obligation to provide or maintain infrastructure and are just parasites, contributing nothing. Get rid of them and create a proper government organisation to oversee Utilities and regulate them as it used to be. I'm happy to wait for that which must happen before too long. | warranty
14/12/2017 16:32 | the information on their dealings are all out their and their families dealings on gov contracts being given out after their bought shares in the companies | portside1
