i dont think so , i would guess that a lot of folk who have been out of the market are seeing what is happening and buying back in, lots of volume on quite a number of small caps. if so its v v good news

Mentioned on the SLP thread,,,,, anyone who has struggled to find the Regency report on SLP, you will not find it under the given title without going through the following route. You first need to go to then use the Menu to select Free Reports, then select the report called 2023 Share Tips of the Year and choose Download where you will be asked to supply your name, email and phone details. SLP is one of 5 recommendations (CNIC, AZN, SLP, HSBA, MONY)

A AMANA I have been pondering that very question myself. That’s why rivaldos updates are useful to distinguish between buybacks and other equally large share trades. Like 2x 175000 purchases this morning and a 200000 purchase yesterday. Not a flicker yet other times it flies up or down on very low volumes.

Why is the share price so reluctant to move north?

Personal opinion only, but I never rated Kestrel and Chelverton are quite good.
I sold half my holding last thing yesterday. Will continue to watch with interest, but only a small holding now.

- Kestrel continue buying and have bought another 87k shares - they now own 22.83%
- Chelverton have sold a few and have gone below 5%

@boadicea that is true indeed. Nonetheless I can imagine that the actioning broker takes into account the satisfaction of their client in order to be a preferred broker for additional buy backs etc.

Bottom line is they currently very well upholds the share price :). No complaints overhere! And who knows, maybe CNIC announce another buyback later on or perhaps a maiden divi. Looking forward to the results

The buying decision is left to the actioning broker based on published information available at the time of the arrangement and current market conditions. It is not influenced by unpublished insider knowledge available only to management which is the reason it can continue during a close period.

Unlikely GrindNship.

If they have non-public material info which would move the share price, they couldnt be buying heavily

Perhaps they could argue that they wont have 2022 flash figures for a few more days and therefore they dont have material info...but that seems like sailing close to the wind

Good to see the buyback regardless

Very well could be..at least it is interesting. Just another thought: could it be they want to finish the buyback right before the next results later this month because they expect to be great and never get another opportunity to get these shares on the cheap?

they seem in a bit of a hurry to complete the buy back. I wasn't expecting such large chunks of shares. Someone must be selling them in the background. I wonder who and why ?

Roghart. Sorry to hear about your health issues. Pretty near the cusp of too old to make such escapades myself. Hoping CNiC will finance a few more trips!

earwacks - I see what you mean about once in a lifetime trip. Fantastic. A few of those places I had earmarked myself but they will have to remain on my bucket list along with several others now. Age and ill-health has finally caught up so exotic and longhaul are out of the question. I've had a good run so no complaints.
