13/1/2018 11:04 | Andrew Monk, CEO VSA Resources - Despite being known affectionately as "Monkey" by some in the City, is one of the brightest chaps in the stockbroking world, according to his peers. He runs a brokerage that specialises in the global natural resources sector. In a recent note to clients fortunate enough to be on his private email list, he says despite there being more than 100 stocks out there in the junior mining sector, there is just 3 he likes and has as core holdings: The first on Andrew's list is Central Asia Metals: 'CAML as it is known has some brilliant management.......... | mount teide

Data Source: Kitco bootie - thanks for the articles/links - make interesting reading - and reaffirms what a great performance CAML delivered during the mining sector recession compared to most of its peers. | mount teide
12/1/2018 18:25 | This post from Mount Teide in August caught my eye and led me to make my first investment to which I added in October so many thanks MT and all the posters for taking the time to share their knowledge and information Mount Teide22 Aug '17 - 09:48 - 783 of 1243 Copper catching a rising hedge fund tailwind! Mining.Com - Betting on better copper price - 21 Aug 2017 'On the copper derivatives market hedge funds built long positions to a new record high last week according to the CFTC's weekly Commitment of Traders data. So-called managed money investors' net longs now total over 120,000 lots, the equivalent of 3 billion pounds or 1.36m tonnes worth around $9 billion at today's prices. On the London Metal Exchange, hedge funds have also increased their bullish bets in recent weeks and according to LME data net longs total over 74,000 lots. LME contracts are for 25 tonnes which translates into more than 1.8m tonnes worth some $12.3 billion. LME data will be updated tomorrow.' More recently from mining.com Mining in 2018: Copper price to power on The price of copper ended 2017 near a four-year high of $3.30 a pound ($7,260 per tonne) extending the bull run in the red metal for a second year. Measured from its multi-year lows struck at the beginning of 2016, copper has gained more than 70% in value. MINING.com's call Above $3.50 ($7,800 a tonne) by the end of 2018 and a rising trend into 2019. And that may be conservative. 12/1/2018 17:01 | Not sure If Blackrock are on register. (Edit see they are) The largest positive contributors to performance during December were our holdings in Central Asia Metals and Kaz Minerals which both performed well along with the wider mining sector, which benefitted from the strength in metals prices at the end of the year. | waterloo01
12/1/2018 17:01 | Re your #1237 MT, how wonderfully perspicacious of you! Keep up the good work! | bubblingup
12/1/2018 16:56 | Big big smile today. What a beautiful chart. | lord gnome
12/1/2018 16:47 | Yeoowowowow! Yowser! Hot freaking diggity! Jumping Jehoshaphat!!! So glad I bought millions of these at 3p a share. ... ... Oh, all right then, I bought from April 2017 onwards with the little that was left after paying for the mortgage, the car, the gas bill, the occasional slice of dry bread to eat, etc. Still, mustn't grumble, hey? | arf dysg
12/1/2018 16:42 | Another very good day with strong pressure on the bid throughout - 20,403 @322p UT to close out at another all time high. | mount teide

11/1/2018 07:09 | Someone messed up their dates. No update. | from8to800
10/1/2018 21:39 | Looks like today's dip down to 285 was engineered to trigger stop losses and pick up some cheap stock from weak holders. Not surprised that some chose to protect profits after such a strong rise. | lord gnome
10/1/2018 18:49 | Closing Auction showing an UT of 33,642 @314p - New all-time closing high. | mount teide
10/1/2018 14:33 | Bizarrely, after Peel's downgrade it seems there is great demand for our shares at the all time record high price ! L2 - 16 v 1 / 308.5p v 309.5p ! | mount teide
10/1/2018 14:22 | Can see CAML closing at/close to a new record high today in market expectation of an extremely good Q4 and Year End Trading Update being released tomorrow that Peal Hunt with a straight face will say they knew nothing about! | mount teide
10/1/2018 13:57 | Lol - Peel are now on the offer at 306p - a nice 5%-7% intra-day turn on this mornings orchestrated drop - NEVER underestimate broker greed/capacity for skullduggery! Edit Level 2 - It gets even better - just as the offer moves on to 305.5p, Peel decide they have changed their minds and don't want to sell any shares to the market at 306p and immediately move the minimum price they want up to 310p ! | mount teide
10/1/2018 13:55 | What on earth does a downgrade from buy to add mean????? Surely to add them you have to buy them first!!!! | oohrogerpalmer
10/1/2018 13:31 | I added to my existing holding yesterday. Now the largest holding in my SIPP. Look forward to the Q4 figures and update. Ignore the brokers. As MT has stated, possibly ulterior motives...... | bluerunner
10/1/2018 12:24 | This slight dip made me buy some. So thanks very much Peel Hunt. | bdroop
