Commodities look cheap
Gold may be on a bull run, but industrial commodities, including copper, zinc and aluminium, remain cheap.
by: Alex Rankine
17 Jan 2020

Gold surged to a seven-year high earlier this month. Yet many industrial metals proved “laggards̶1; in 2019, says Myra Saefong in Barron’s. Copper gained just 3.5% in 2019. Aluminium and zinc prices declined. Weakness in global manufacturing means that industrial metals were “left out of the commodities rally”.
Time to catch up?

“There are plenty of expensive assets in the world today,” says Rana Foroohar in the Financial Times, but most industrial commodities have remained “reliably cheap”. Indeed, they are “about as cheap relative to stocks as they have been in the past century”.

Costax154X ... this garbage share you are on about ORM .... loss making , non dividend paying gamble that has no cash other than borrowed money on very expensive terms ..

(Sharecast News) - Ormonde Mining reported on Thursday that Saloro, the operator of the Barruecopardo Tungsten Mine in Spain in which Ormonde holds a 30% joint venture interest, has entered into a €10m, 12 month term loan facility to be provided by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management.
The AIM-traded firm had announced on 20 September that the new term loan would provide Saloro with additional liquidity support as it established mining operations on the main ore body at Barruecopardo.

Saloro would be able to draw from the loan on an as-required basis, in tranches of at least €0.5m, over the loan period.

Interest on the loan would be capitalised in full, at a rate of 18% per annum on drawn funds, with a 3% per annum commitment fee accruing on undrawn amounts.

Drawn funds, capitalised interest and commitment fees would be repayable at the end of the 12 month term, by bullet repayment.

If you want to deal in CAML make sure your broker offers DMA, no problems with the spread then.

Another year another superb performance - since coming to AIM in 2010 the management's ability to deliver outstanding results year after year has proved as reliable as a high end Swiss watch.

CAML mentioned in this piece on high dividend yield companies:

Persimmon is one of six stocks to keep its place on Peel Hunt's list from last year — the others being Anglo Pacific (LSE:APF), Central Asia Metals (LSE:CAML), Ibstock (LSE:IBST), Renewi (LSE:RWI) and Warehouse REIT (LSE:WHR).

Like many here CAML is a long term hold for me. Cu, Pb and Ni should all be in demand as we move forward.

this seems like a good play on the commodities recovery story at a price around 225p and prospective dividend of 6% . Also been on the aim market no stamp duty to pay. Like the recommendation from Peel
