Appointment of new auditor
Centaur Media Plc is pleased to announce that following the Company's divestment and transformation programmes in 2019, a competitive tender process has taken place in order to appoint its auditors. As a result, the Company has appointed Crowe U.K. LLP ("Crowe") as its new independent auditor for the financial year ending 31 December 2020. PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP ("PwC") has resigned with effect from 10 November 2020. The Company intends to propose the re-appointment of Crowe as auditor to a vote of shareholders at the Company's next Annual General Meeting.
The Board would like to thank PwC for its services and significant support over the last 15 years.
As required by section 519 of the Companies Act 2006, PwC has deposited a statement with the Company confirming that the reason for their resignation is the Company undertaking a competitive tender process and the Company's wish to appoint another firm of auditors at a lower fee than PwC would charge. There are no other matters in connection with PwC ceasing to hold office as auditor that should be brought to the attention of the Company's shareholders.
