Yep- would expect a catch up - Javid just spoke and ftse seemed to have calmed for now- us futures off the very lows. Let’s hope a catch up here in line with other goldies

VIX up 40% I did say it was bubbling away the other day. US only on a half day today, expect even more panic as they race to unwind, rotate etc etc inside limited trading hours.

Mkt loves caution ... this story may run ...only time will tell. Sane move Steve, you.d think. Very few cases but surveillance systems will now kick in via pcr analysis. Bought bk into Novacyte at 220p ...cracked on with our UK high infection rate. The uk will up the deeper analysis of variants, thus paying Nova more cash. Mind, the story could be over in a week. Lets see. Avariant therapies in Phase 3 trials coming to fruition. I hold Synairgen from 121p. A run is anticipated. All v risky I know. Let.s see other countries' responses to this.

Steve ...yup. x10 spike mutations cf Delta x3. Cases in Sth F, Botswana, Hongkong ...unsure yet of its transmissibility or lethal nature. Flights from 6 countries put on the red list - probs too late. Let.s hope not. Delta variant is dominating it.s own variant ecosystem so far.Statistically, rns transcription errors had to happen with such high case counts.
