Thecroots .. interesting views but I doubt they need or want to manipulate any figures . The return to solid production , the cost cutting and general steadiness of the business is refreshing and what institutional investors like. The mass exodus at the open on an RNS which confirmed guidance was frankly ridiculous . The share price might float around a bit without a flow of news but the gold price is going to improve the financials substantially and will provide the next leg up imho. 150p is the next resistance for me .. no graphs or technicals .. just a practical level that for me will indicate the company is on track and making very decent profits , funding the expansion , exploration and possibly a special / increased dividend.

Kenny,

Both you and i know that no private investor can influence a $1B SETS stock!!

They lied about the equipment breakdown last year. Rumours that the mill had stopped. I mailed them (Two weeks after the actual shutdown of the mill) and they claimed that they are not aware of an issue with the mill.!

They also "pinched" some ore/gold last December to make sure that they "hit" the 450k. We all knew that they were needing to "pay back" this gold this quarter. Thats why i personally think the grades are not lower at all this quarter but they are using it as a way of "softening" the figures so they do not get found out....

On target probably with a huge premium on free cashflow from the gold price rising. If so it should consolidate the share price and more investors will be tempted in … all imho.

redbaron10 .. great post . This has risen quickly and investors will want to take profit or have probably put stop losses in . Gold rising again so could be a very good week again this week . Good luck .

One has to appreciate shares like CEY (being foreign and not subject to stamp duty on trades) have a revolving door of investors who trade in and out of the share quite readily. You only need to read this chat forum to see the popularity of trading in and out of CEY.If less individual investors and institutional investors have inventory of shares of CEY in their portfolios, and aren't long term holders, then share price volatility is to be expected. And to be fair this share has had its fair share of bad news, false dawns and disappointments over the years so you can hardly blame traders profiting on that.I've lost count of the number of notifications of major share holding increases and decreases over the years. That tells you a lot.

There appears to be some reluctance to accept the fundamentals and the reasoning for the 14% pog increase this year by the markets. Most commentators and analysts are expecting a pull back of the safe haven asset at some time reading the financials, and they're skeptical of rises much above $2400 if we ever get there.Gold mining stocks aren't getting the share price rise maybe one would expect. There is central bank purchasing around the world and Chinese and Indian retail investors are buying gold in good quantities so gold demand is clearly there. The US's horrendous national debt is being added to at the rate of a $1tn every 100 days under Biden, with a very contentious US presidential election in 7 months time, interest rates are anticipated to fall at some time, plus middle-east tension that isn't going away in the short to medium term.I don't see how the gold price can buckle that much with tail winds like that. However we all know how opaque the gold market is and open to all sorts of speculating in both price directions that we just have to enjoy these all time high prices for as long as we can.I've been in gold mining stocks like HGM,Acacia, here and Endeavour (recently)long enough to expect absolutely anything!

Fair comment, not seeing why any of the majors or even another mid-tier outfit would swoop on CEY. But the PoG and profitability combo should still drive great returns for investors here.

thanks sport but I am just a small player making only peanuts such as a few hundred on my trades unlike some bigger players or investors making heaps :) . restricted to NO SD stocks means less opportunities unless using my CFD account occasionally !

Shabirm,
petersinthemarket is correct about OAAT but wrong about it being a highly risky as it is extremely low risk as worst case is a small loss occasionally as can cut loss quickly when focused on ONE stock or very occasionally two in a bullish market . I adopted it some years ago after a strong recommendation by an aussie mate who makes heaps as aussies say . It transformed my fortunes and I have never looked back :) . holding a portfolio is much more risky as investors tend to sit and hold even if shares losing value . No need to plunge in big as sometimes can accumulate in the day if trending well and with the tiny commission of £3 or £4 for each trade .

And it's finally put to bed...

SUMMARY

On 14 January 2023 Egyptian Law No. 32 of 2014 ("Law 32") was upheld as constitutional by the Egyptian Supreme Constitutional Court ("SCC Judgment")

Law 32 provides that only parties to contractual agreements between the Egyptian government and an investor(s), such as the Sukari Gold Mine Concession Agreement ("Concession Agreement"), have the legal capacity to raise challenges against these agreements. Third parties are accordingly prevented from lawfully instigating such challenges.

Following the SCC Judgment Centamin applied to the Supreme Administrative Court ("SAC") to rule that the 2011 challenge to the Concession Agreement is now legally inadmissible on the basis that the original complainant had no capacity to bring the claim as he was not a party to the Concession Agreement

The SAC has today ruled in Centamin's favour, rejecting the original case in its entirety. The claimant has no right to appeal and today's judgment is final and therefore brings this long-running litigation to a close

Operations at Sukari Gold Mine have remained unaffected throughout.
