Cracking results. Buoyant outlook.

Major emphasis on internal tightening of regulatory regime and setting highest internal standards of governance and professionalism.

Strengthened balance sheet.

Big increase in dividend. A whopping dividend yield now of 7.5%.

These are very strong results and bode well indeed for future prospects and add comfort in currently turbulent markets where nonetheless Cenkos continues to win frequent new business.

cfro - Like yourself I think the results were very good & I tend to prefer prudence when it comes to dividend payments. However I suspect in the short term people will be focusing on the full year div of 9.0p below market forecast of 11.0p and the following:

"This market volatility does appear to have had an impact on investor sentiment with a pause in the momentum the Firm experienced in the second half of 2017."

These results were very good though and much better than i had envisaged. I am actually quite pleased with the divi too which equates to a payout of about 4% for the final and about 7.5% for the full year.

A more cautious outlook statement but as a market-maker CNKS would be benefiting from this market volatility with increased trading i would imagine.

PE only eight here.

In the current febrile environment it would not be surprising to see the share price take a backwards step in the short term, especially as the dividend of 9.0p, whilst a significant improvement on FY16, will have doubtless disappointed many.

Results accompanied by a nervous-sounding outlook statement. Slightly disappointed by the dividend. Historic PE in single figures though, so does look cheap and good value with a high yield - looking backwards.

New mandate & small fundraising. Cenkos have been appointed sole broker to Landore Resources Ltd, replacing Strand Hanson who remain Nomad. They have also completed a placing/subscription raising gross proceeds of £3.15m.

Sofa maker to Ikea and John Lewis mulls stock market float in London -

A British sofas and mattresses supplier to lkea and John Lewis is exploring plans for a £90 million London stock market float.

Belfield Group, the UK’s biggest soft furnishings manufacturer, is sounding out investors about a possible listing this year due to rapid growth in the sector, City sources said.

The company employs about 2300 people and supplies everyone from M&S, Next, Argos and Laura Ashley to online mattresses start-ups like Eve and Simba. It makes 15,000 mattresses a week,

City broker Cenkos has been hired to explore the plan, which could value Belfield at between £85 million and £90 million...

Cenkos are acting as sole broker on a new placing for ICG-Longbow Senior Secured UK Property Debt Investments (LBOW) under their existing Placing Programme. The amount to be raised is not qualified but will presumably be confirmed upon closing.
