I'm amazed at the price they got Eddie Stobart away for by the way. On any measure it only makes about £30m and so floating it for nearly £600m is great for the sellers. There's no way I would buy shares in a transport company at that multiple. Woodford was a big buyer. Why would you buy at that price I wonder? Its about twice the valuation I think it would normally / sensibly command.

Keith,Hargreaves Lansdown actually.See you have upset a few people here on ADVFN,and I can see why !!! Yes I know about MM,s legal crooks IMHO.Less of your sarcastic remarks, would not go amiss.I do not need to know how to suck eggs.Invested in 27 FTSE companies with a Portfolio worth over £600,000.Holding 15650 shares in CNKS owing me 160p.My worst performing share. So a bit of encouragement would not go amiss either.

"The biggest buy is only £6,000" - Someone perhaps with difficulty grasping the concept that MMs can delay trades .... and has yet to figure out that ADVFN buy versus sells are guesses by their system ....

So what is happening with the sudden 9% gain, and the bounce at 12 Noon. The biggest buy is only £6,000.Surely not just news of the Arena Group offing. Also is CNKS an AIM share ? If so Stamp duty should not be paid on purchase,s correct ?

Aim was to have an average hold of £1.00 a share for Cenkos .... little did I think that average would come from shares held at 73p .....

... but nice to be back in profit with a 5p dividend on Thursday .... taking the average down to 103p .... so only 3p more to go to hit target :)

Possibly some business in the pipeline for Cenkos with Arena Group's touted IPO?

Olympic stands builder mulls London listing -

Arena Group, the events business behind temporary spectator stands at the London 2012 Olympics, is racing towards a stock market float.

Arena, whose structures are a regular fixture at high-profile sporting events such as the Ryder Cup and ATP World Tour tennis, has hired Cenkos Securities to advise on a potential listing, according to sources. The business, which traces its roots back to 1761, has a host of other clients including the BFI London Film Festival and Lawn Tennis Association. It sets up and runs temporary stands, furniture, scaffolding and other structures, and worked on the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations at Windsor Castle last April.

City sources said the company has begun to hold presentations with City fund managers to gauge interest for a listing.

The plans are said to be at an early stage and MML Capital, the company’s private equity backer, could yet choose to hold onto its stake or refinance the business instead, City sources said. A London listing would provide a significant return to MML Capital.

Management is also understood to hold a stake.

Eddie Stobart is a very good earner for them then if it completes. It will transform and underwrite H1 performance. Bilby is a bit of a dog, but given they eat cash Cenkos would no doubt have liked to be able to raise it for them.
