HugePants you are IMO completely wrong. If you look at SUA Sunderland at the end of last season, at Bolton Wanderers, at Nottingham Forest, Leicester, QPR, the list is endless the fans can, do, and will, say nothing. They are not investors like you. After all, all they allegedly wanted is a piece of their own club which they would never SELL. Delisting does not take it away from them. Celtic will IMHO use what has happened to MANU to justify delisting in this close season or next. If you insist I am wrong then please explain to us why Celtic is worth one tenth of what is was 8 years ago. Its accounts have hardly dipped.
Why does it maintain a Football Club Board and a subordinate "PLC board" exactly????????????????????? if not so that it can dispense with the the latter?
These football club PLC's were set up as SOURCES OF FUNDS by directors, who, like the fans, are not interested in our side of the fence, the investors were never to expect any financial return their investment, the fans investment was for love. I know all about Fergus McCann by the way.

Not a hope in hell of Celtic de-listing. The supporters have coughed up 10s of millions for shares at over 100p. There would be a full scale riot if the director's tried to de-list. And remember a large proportion of shareholders are also season ticket holders so the shareholders/supporters have much more power than in a more typical business.

Why has the share price of Celtic fallen from £4 to 48p while the price of Preston North End has fallen from £4 to £1.28 (no premium for play of place)
I know why because Celtic Football Club Board intends to delist Celtic plc from the market...........................remember where you read this first!
PNE has no plans to delist and remains actively committed to being a listed PLC that is the only reason OK

Brian Wilson MP is expected to be joining the Celtic Board according to a report in today's papers.

Presumably he's being lined up to take over from Quinn as Chairman.

Good article and I agree Celtic shares have seriously large potential but saying the market cap is 15M is misleading. The market cap is effectively around 30M. Or it will be once the preference shares have been exercised in a few years.

Take a look at the graph at the top, they've already fell off the cliff but do you think after this crushing defeat that this may be a good shorting opportunity.

The Premiership is below us now, a move to La Liga sounds about right! Bring on Los Galacticos with Beckham and co, that might just about provide a decent challenge worthy of the mighty Dons! ;-)

Rankers are indeed 'rank'! and it is credit to 'tic for they are indeed a team to be reckoned with, but the big wheel goes round and things change, so enjoy the moment while it lasts bhoys because Celtic will turn Ceptic as sure as tick follows tock.
