18/10/2010 16:15 | We might get the annual report this week, the last two years its been about 2 weeks after the results announcement. | davydoo
18/10/2010 12:42 | Best of luck to us both DD ;-) | gosgos
18/10/2010 12:17 | I bought another 20k this morning. Still getting them at 15.5p. So we might see a similar amount sold at 14p again. Thats it for me now, I have the holding I want. I will wait to see what unfolds with Avations annual results, which I guess they will announce ahead of any new fund raising or CLA merger plans. | davydoo
11/10/2010 16:15 | In my experience it can be somewhat irrational on the sellers part where, for example, a fund has decided to exit a share and simply makes it known to one or market makers that they are happy to sell off their holding at a price of x. Volume seems too small to be institutions though but you never know. I can't see that it benefits AVAP long term for the price of CLA to be so low given that this means institutional supporters are under water. They could easily afford to buy back some shares and it would quickly put a floor under the price. | gosgos
11/10/2010 15:58 | Thanks I hadnt seen that. Looks like my recent buys have been closely matched with equivalent selling at 14p. The Market Makers are clearly doing very well getting a 10% spread. I dont really know how that world works, but it feels like theres a seller at 14p but is needing purchases before being able to get that sell price. Im nearly done buying now, then i'll sit and wait for the situation to unfold. So we're going to need new buyers, or AVAP doing something for this to move higher. I dont mind waiting though. | davydoo
11/10/2010 15:32 | Yes. 2 AVAP sells and 2 CLA buys both me. | davydoo
11/10/2010 15:23 | It's madness I agree - are today's two trades yours? | gosgos
11/10/2010 14:52 | I realised over the weekend that the AVAP price is now 5x the CLA price. A year ago it was about half the CLA price. Thats a 10x difference in investment performance e.g. a £1000 CLA investment is now £250 a £1000 AVAP investment is now £2500 How amazing is that for two such similar companies? We know the reasons, previously unrealistic CLA price, AVAP taking on the A320 lease and AVAP moving to LSE from PLUS, but my conviction to keep moving from AVAP to CLA is very strong now. | davydoo
07/10/2010 16:37 | I agree Gosgos. What i didnt understand about your question microscope was why CLA would need to make an announcement? It's up to AVAP to make those announcements in its own good time. AVAP has to make announcements re CLA because CLA is a subsidaiary, but CLA doesnt have to make accouncments about AVAP because AVAP is a shareholder. | davydoo
07/10/2010 16:29 | Now that CLA has announced, AVAP will need to announce their final results is what I meant. While this was November last year there is no obvious reason why it needs to be delayed much past the CLA results. If there is any corporate action to be announced such as a fund raising or the acquisition of the rest of CLA or both then it would likely be done at the same time | gosgos
07/10/2010 15:54 | whats there to announce microscope? i dont understand. Just a reminder, in case anyone else is new to this thread, this has a NAV per share of 26.71p and is on a pe of 6.45, based on last weeks results. | davydoo
07/10/2010 15:45 | Why 7-14 days? Something that is so central to this company imho should have been announced immediately. | microscope
07/10/2010 15:32 | Theres a seller out there, 125,000 @ 14p over the last few days. | davydoo
05/10/2010 16:00 | I think there is a good chance of an AVAP announcement tomorrow or else in the next 7-14 days. No inside info - it would just make sense! | gosgos
05/10/2010 14:36 | Amazing. some one else bought some. I really did think we were going to end the day, a day of great results, without a single person taking any notice and making a purchase. | davydoo
05/10/2010 08:39 | the buy was mine. no one else coming to join us yet. | davydoo
05/10/2010 08:37 | Yes the story seems solid, main question remains how AVAP and CLA interact in future! | gosgos
05/10/2010 08:16 | Cash generation this year will be awesome. Income will remain roughly the same, but current liabilities are 2.5m lower. The decrease in the value of the aircraft from 106m to 101m seems less than i might have expected with a simple assumption of aircraft life. I think they get them valued, so maybe there has been some general uplift in market values aswell to compensate some of the depreciation. | davydoo
05/10/2010 07:31 | ..and it's been marked up on no volume as yet. May just be MMs seeing what appetite there is I guess | gosgos
05/10/2010 06:33 | Excellent progress. Had a skim through, it is the mezzanine finance thats paid off. | davydoo
05/10/2010 06:24 | Good results, net assets up and they say that they have paid off their higher cost mezzanine which may be the loan you were flagging on the other thread DD. I continue to think that it makes more sense for them to merge CLA and AVAP at some point provided the other CLA shareholders agree a sensible price and take it in AVAP shares (predominantly). | gosgos
05/10/2010 06:11 | Audited Results Announcement for the Year Ended 30 June 2010 Highlights: · NET Profits up 18.5% · CLA Group total assets of US$103,114,422; · Experiencing a reduction in finance costs; · Revenues increased to US$16,383,067; · Group Net post-tax profits increased to US$3,768,971; · Net assets increased to US$39,362,706; | theophilus
01/10/2010 18:19 | No trades on CLA today in response to the news of AVAP moving to main market. As we've been discussing and Harrogate mentioned on the AVAP thread, we will have to consider whether CLA is a better prospect as a subsidiary of a PLUS co. or of an LSE co. My first thought says subsidiary of an LSE co. but if that means CLA becomes a backwater and all future deals are done through AVAP with its new higher profile then maybe not. However, as long as CLA trades below its NAV im happy to hold, as that way it would make sense for AVAP to buy out CLA fully, and as an AVAP shareholder I would prefer that to a dividend. | davydoo |
