24/8/2006 17:55 | Shares Mag today: As you would expect from a man whose company's products enable its clients to do things faster, Celoxica's (CXA:AIM)CEO Phil Bishop is a man in a hurry. 'We want revenues to grow faster and we want to get to break-even faster,' he tells Shares. 'As a management team, we are exploring ways of getting to break-even in 2007 rather than 2008.' The Oxfordshire firm produces software and embedded design tools that enable silicon chip and electronics companies to configure new products more efficiently, which means they run more quickly and can be sold more rapidly. The £14.2 million cap firm, which has sold 440 software licences worldwide, has also broken into the accelerated computing market. Celoxica has supplied its software to oil and gas companies, financial institutions and also life sciences firm 454, which is comparing Neanderthal man's DNA with the human genome to see if there is a link. 'We have a chance to explode the growth,' argues Bishop. 'There are opportunities with other companies out there. We could get to profitability faster with acquisitions that we use wisely, just as we could do things for other companies if they acquired us. There is a lot going on.' The shares have sagged from their 40.5p year high to 25.5p as fears over the broader semiconductor cycle have hammered chip stocks worldwide. ■ Shares says: If Bishop can get Celoxica into the black quicker than hoped, the shares should pick up pace once more. | jonwig

18/8/2006 08:59 | It seems to me that the share price for the first few months was kept artificially high due to the tight holdings in this one by its partner companies/instituion So I agree with you jonwig, overpriced currently, but one to keep an eye on. | wiganer
18/8/2006 06:14 | Celoxica Holdings plc ('Celoxica' or 'the Company'), has noted the recent movement in its share price and knows of no corporate reason for the recent fall. The Company announced in early July at its half year update that trading in the period had progressed well and that it expected to report revenues of approximately £2.4 million, in line with expectations. The Company will update the market further at the time of its interim results announcement on 13 September 2006. My own first research had persuaded me that they were a bit over-priced at around 25p unless, that is, signs of profitability for 2007 could appear. | jonwig
17/8/2006 07:42 | Worth watching I think. Will post up some notes and research here. Won't use other thread, as no charts, etc. 51,551,184 shares @ 25.5p = £13.1m MCap. So ADVFN's header info is wrong - surprise. NTA 7.74 p/sh. Forecasts (Arbuthnot) T/O (£m) PreTax(£m) eps(p) 31-Dec-06 6.06 (2.13) (3.75)p 31-Dec-07 8.54 (1.30) (2.14)p | jonwig
