It's not just about liquidity. CLL is still dogged by the fact that so many of its shareholders are people who sold businesses and were given shares at 140p and above a few years back. Most are keen to cash out, so each time the shares show any sign of recovery someone bales and the the price is checked. Hopefully as more of the shares are bought and sold by institutions this will happen less often. As for Creston - they gave up the ghost when they sold Delaney Lund which was the only real jewel in their crown. Helped their debt issues a bit, but gives them nothing to build on. CLL has got to be a better bet - for its pharma strategy and international growth.

I think its a bit chicken and egg with regards to liquidity / spread; its thinly traded which puts people off. If they participated then there would be more liquidity! However I'm speculating as to the motives of others, and it could just be that investors want to see more prolonged evidence of progress. If the company does the business the share price will as well.

I brought into CLL again on release of the full year results in March, the statement seemed to indicate that a strong recovery was underway, after the restructering undertaken in the previous year. My view was strengthened when both the FD and CEO purchased more shares after the results. So as long as the AGM statements confirms that the strong performance from Q4 has continued into this financial year, I would be happy to increase my holding again. By lack of posts here and comments elsewhere, it would seem that the improved trading hasn't been picked up yet. ic2...

I also have held CRE before, but took them off my watchlist in July 2012 after they disappointed me once too often. Can't say that I have seen any news since that has made me look at them in more detail. I seem to remember some option awards to directors, that were based on UK GDP figures, wasn't impressed by that at the time. ic2...

Lets just say i much prefer CLL over CRE. I have held CRE in the past but it never did perform how i had hoped.

ic2, cfro - How do you think this stacks up against Creston? The latter screens well but I have not bought any because of my long held position here.

Thinking the exact same things as you ic2, as particulary after the CEO bought i should have also bought more then but i was waylayed at the time buying/selling other stuff and didnt seem to get round to it. I have rectified the situation today tho.

When the FD brought at 47p and then the CEO at 50.78p, I was a bit slow to react. I was only holding my initial investment and should have brought more, so happy to have another chance. The situation now reminds me of May 2010, when I first brought in here at 34p, directors soon brought stock just below at 32p, and as trading continued strongly through 2010, the share price almost doubled within a year, before falling back again during 2011. ic2...

Looks a good price to buy in at ic2 imo. Very quiet bb and quiet share price too. Its funny that it had crossed my mind to think about another top-up myself.

CLL historically issues an AGM statement between 15th to 17th May, so we should see one next week between Wednesday to Friday or the following Monday? I did purchase some more this morning and will look for confirmation within the AGM statement, that the strong turnaround reported at the full year reults in March, is continuing. Didn't think I would have a chance to buy at a level close to the FD or below the CEOs recent purchase. ic2...

Product launch from FACE one of CLL's divisions. "Having doubled the size in the past 12 months with offices in New York, Singapore and Hong Kong, Pulsar TRAC is the first in a series of planned product releases from face which marks an evolution of the business from a research agency to a technology driven consultancy".

Must be using an internet broker - a straight buy order tends not go inside the spread. However given the other trades today one would think that they left 5% on the table. It wouldn't surprise me if we find out it was another officer.

Very good news You may remember cfro because I think you were holding at the time, the last time M Bently brought share was June 2010 at 32p, the share price doubled within 7 months that time :o) That time the Chairman and CEO brought on the same day, but the CEO has been buying recently. ic2...
