I now think it is time for the Directors to get a grip, there is no long game here, the treatment of shareholders is appalling and i think we should expose Sir David's lax attitude to corporate governance. I cannot believe that with his profile he would like the bright lights of publicity directed his way.
I think it is time we found an active vaqlue investor to get involved and create some mischief, only then will shareholders interests be properly represented

ProfSMSmith, I am not meaning to be negative, and I am not grouching about holding these either. I am trying to explain the large divide between the current share price and the NAV when the SIS dividend gets paid. I was trying to explain the 'chicken and egg situation' that the CMX board can say little until the SIS board make a formal statement regarding the dividend. Surely I cannot be that far wrong in that assumption.

Until then the share price will drift, I still regard this as a good buying opportunity as what I am refering to as the 'uncertainty element' is erroded and the share price returns to a more realistic NAV. Sorry for being a pragmatic fundemental contrarian investor, but I find this actually a compelling reason to accumulate.

If it is me that causes your dispair, then I will never post on here again.

I too would like SMSmith to stay. I have posted here in the past asking people to stop giving you a hard time, but some people are bitter about their decision to invest. I for one hope that most people are intelligent enough to realise that investors(including me) have only themsleves to blame for their investment decisions. I would ask you to reconsider please SMSmith.

agreeable> I have no idea, I think is is something to do with an old e-mail address. He in an investor like you and I, and was heavly involved with Paul engineering the SIS purchase.

I only hold this because of SIS.

LPLP> I agree, as the days go by the uncertainty builds, I am not seeing any vision and strategy. That needs to be out in the open before any confidence can return to support the share price

I am guessing but as the SIS divi is a major part, nothing can be said until the SIS board publish their proposed divi strategy.

Sorry about that rant guys but I'm just getting frustrated, with the SIS stake cmx should have a very rosy future but the company just don't do anything to help the share price They also have a board position on the SIS board so they know what is going on. Why dont they put out a positive statement? With Duffen gone it is sensible to outline their strategy to move the company forward and to look after their investors.

Investec must also have thought that a favourable dividend stream would come to cmx from SIS or they would not have lent them the money.
Duffen is also on the board of SIS so he knows what is going on and when and how much the divi(s) are likely to be.
Is he really that stupid, knowing what he does, to pay way over the top for the 20% of the 22.2% that CMX did not already own in SIS?

I would welcome any reasoned views either for or against.

PS I agree with Red Ninja that the yoomedia deal is a red herring/ waste of time, the value of cmx is all about the value of it's stake in SIS. Maybe it is yoomedia selling which is depressing the share price while other investors are waiting for news of the divi.

Well one thing they could do is keep investors better informed.

It looks like the SIS dividend will be next year now, but no explicit RNS to confirm this.

I didn't like the gambling website deal either. It doesn't look like a good deal at all for investors.

Holding on, but not impressed.

It has been brought to my attention by a friend that some of the comments I have made about CMX management may be harsh. I appreciate that management can not dicslose information to investors just because we want them to. So I am sorry for anything I may have said that is deemed unfair. I am a holder of stock and management have my full support.

Oh yeah, Its because a guy that used to work at SIS and is now working for CMX and he brokered the deal. Hey, that means they must have about 3 staff now. I rang them and eventually some young muppet answered. I tell ye, it doesnt inspire investor confidence.

but havent all those institutional investors ridden this stock down from 20p like the rest of us. If they were that smart thay would have been bailing out a long time ago.
