Hallow. The post-mortem for the govt on this will not be very pretty. They had weeks to plan for this and yet we still get the excuses that they aren't incompetent, just look it because other countries were 2 weeks ahead etc. Other countries had LESS time to plan so we should look better in comparison. When your leader does not take anything seriously, anyone who speaks their mind gets the sack and the PM (Cummins) fills the cabinet with yes-men is it surprising that the country feels like a circus. They have cancelled orders for ventilators even though we may/will have a second wave and the UK still has less than a quarter of the number of critical care beds that Germany has, half that of France or Italy. We couldn't even be bothered, or worse didn't have the capacity, to test OAPs for CV before sending them into a care home. Killing how many? The outlook for the UK as a whole is pretty grim, a choice of fall in with the EU post-brexit, get screwed by US/China. Pound will get hammered as we lose another decade of growth and any significance on the international stage. Oil and Gold are priced in $ and should be a safe haven from a weak economy and pound. PS: Not sure where all that doom came from, I will blame you Hallow :)

o/t: dhb, "Still searching for some gold plays in case or, more likely, for when the amount of borrowing hits home. Might be even safer than cash." exactly. this is what many are missing or ignoring. its not just the depreciation of cash and inflationary boost to asset values it causes, this time the apparatus of state in the u.s. are using q.e. to 'buy the stockmarket' promoted by our friend in the whitehouse with eyes on the election. once those chickens come home to roost, together with dismal company reporting seasons ahead, guess what will happen to stock prices cf. pm prices. it may even happen sooner if the 'real' market i.e. the real investors take their heads out of the sand. on topic: my hope is oil will also be seen as a 'safe haven' being a super-essential commodity, so even with reduced global consumption due to economic carnage its pricing may stabilise and casp will be slowly increasing production into a 'stabilised' market - very attractive for investors shell-shocked elsewhere.

We're undervalued and the penny will drop. Casper don't have storage capability and their oil is being sold so any rumour mongering is just that, fake news. The CV management is a problem, I read last week that Tengiz operation had its own hospital for 300 beds and managing the mobilisation of staff with a quarantine system. It hopefully will return to some sort of normality but increasing production and achieving lower sales revenues isn't that appealing.Production will be heading towards 100k pm and each well deliver 10-15k pm, one day peeps will realise how undervalued this is.Deeps, yep, the game changer.

Dow clawed it's way back up 900 points from the day low. A few times in recent weeks I have had that 'should have sold down today' feeling only to be surprised that the US just keeps buying. Even thought about shorting WTI @ $27 which seemed ridiculously high but glad I didn't as it just pushed higher. With $31 Brent we should have a positive end to the week. Still searching for some gold plays in case or, more likely, for when the amount of borrowing hits home. Might be even safer than cash.

I'm not concerned as production is going north and i have an average of 250-300bopd per well for MJF, balancing the high and low producers and a 200000 bopm field when 24 wells drilled. You probably won't get a response re the numbers as i don't believe they're obliged do do it, only the interims and year end results. We have risk of the unknown ie the Kazakh ownership and their financial stability but you're not going to find that easy.to establish. Kuat and family get rich from the Casper share price, not the little side deals. The share option scheme for the leadership wasn't pout in for fun, they fully expect to see Caspian becoming a mult billion £ company not the £70m one it is today. DB made a good point, the barge is probably a good asset now as deep exploration projects are shelved and i suspect that our barge may get some interest from KMG and others ! Sit back and wait for the story to unfold, many bags to be had.

Apologies DHB, I didn't read the correction. One to clarify as i can't make the numbers stack, nothing new there. Either wells offline but it would be good to get more clarity from Casper -; - What is the breakdown of the April number per well - Same for May mtd - Sales nos need reporting I suggest you all write to Clive and ask the question as we're missing withholding material info. You can also contact the Nomad if no response .

Yep but i suspect they're on a go slow. They stated that they'd dictate the pace at 151 and the G50 rig is fixing A5. Need clarity on oil sales v cash advances from traders, as ever that's more obfuscation and if no clarity i'll have a chat with the Nomad as that's material info that they have and are not sharing. I suspect they're storing oil and getting help from traders but we need to see sales numbers.

Smarty. They have 'corrected' the RNS to say "Production to date in May 2020, is approximately 1,700 bopd" April was 1623bopd including some (2 weeks?) 153@200bopd, so say 1523 excluding 153. It was producing at 500bopd RNS 5/5/20 and continues to do so, so why is current May production not 2000bopd. Yelemens has been offline since January.

A positive update. We haven't lost 300 bopd DHB, the production would be c2.3k if 150 and 153 were still producing at 500bopd. The 1700 reflects 153 production only for a few days so May numbers should be c 2000bopd until Yelemes licence upgraded and can sell at 'export' prices, that's good news and their expecting a production upgrade, more good news, The only piece of the jigsaw missing is the oil revenue number. Reading the 4th May RNS they state that oil traders are giving short term advances, maybe the oil is being stored as opposed to being sold hence the lack of detail. Can't see where Casper store 60kbopd pm going forward ? maybre the local traders are storing it in tankers but important we get clarity on that. I'm not overly worried if KO and local traders are behind the company, G&A costs are down and people going back to work. The comment in the 4/5 statement re tenge v $ benefits, why make it if not getting paid ? Needs clarifying though. Also no update on 151 and they stated that they would dictate the pace. Maybe it does point to the storing of oil and getting advances from the OTs until things get back to the new norm, pardon the pun. The company are in good shape from a financial perspective based on the info communicated but they may not be selling all of it. Maybe that's a tactical decision to wait for oil prices to move north or maybe it's a supply/demand issue.

Damn. We just lost 300bopd :( With 153 @ 200bopd we were producing 1700 bopd (with Yelemans not producing), so have we dropped elsewhere or has 153 dropped back?

On the face of it good production news as running at approx 2300bopd inc Yelemens and 150/153 maintaining 500bopd so hopefully 2800 bopd by the time 151 is completed. But are we selling any of it?
