06/6/2025 11:07:55 | someone has just bought £20,000 in 4 parcels...hmmm | jostrummer
03/6/2025 16:01:50 | Update on BNG land being handed back to Kaz Gov
Maybe Clive will clarify at AGM :-) | the new norm
03/6/2025 11:15:04 | I am delighted that we can dream as it we all need to have hope. But they need to deliver . I listened to the presentation in 2017 and it was very positive. But the reality was nothing has been delivered from it in 8 years. It's been a combination of slow bureaucracy, poor judgement , bad luck , geological challenges, conflicts of interest , dilution, geo political challenges , leverage etc. so I guess we are lucky they are still going . | maxim1999
03/6/2025 08:42:11 | Yes Max
This is a massive change in strategy by CASP but not mentioned in any recent RNS update or the last GM
Ducks are getting lined up then lift off!
Typical Clive ;-) | the new norm
03/6/2025 08:30:57 | This was very useful . You can see why the price is where it is | maxim1999
02/6/2025 21:59:47 | Handing back 85% of the BNG contract area to Kaz gov looks a shrewd move to reduce future 'licence fees' and concentrate focus on the promising world class deep structures
No doubt all designed to put another tick in the box with the prospective ME funding partner ;-) | the new norm
02/6/2025 11:01:18 | smarty, enjoy!
re. special resolutions, i'll be less concerned once sale completed and they announce their intentions for any funds not being spent on operational costs.
i'm not as sanguine as you as to likely completion date...but maybe they'll get it done soon...its been long enough even allowing for kaz red tape! | konil
02/6/2025 10:58:28 | Can't believe that a ME investor would chuck $72.5m at this and not expect a decent return , | xclusive2
02/6/2025 09:07:50 | NN,Sounds like you need a trip to the AGM :) | xclusive2
02/6/2025 08:03:48 | A share buy back in isolation is meaningless and suggests the Directors have given up trying to get a better return on exising cash balances or can't find other investments to put the surplus cash to work
If however the company is aiming to grow earnings per share over the medium term then reducing the shares on issue enhances the EPS and is usually positive for the SP
I would hope CASP provides a comprehensive 5yr financial plan along side any decision to buyback shares IMHO
Ironically they were producing that level of financial scrutiny 15yrs ago but they couldn't get the oil to flow to meet their medium term projections
Maybe this time round it will be different ;-) | the new norm
02/6/2025 06:15:44 | Hi K,Away on hols, Paros this time.As Stu has said, they'll opt for buybacks instead of Divis but I'm hoping for both. I believe the cash from AR deal is not too far away and the ME cash will follow too enabling b/backs.Et al, I've gone to enough AGMs but for those of you who are invested and haven't attended, I suggest that you go and ask some direct questions as they will answer them. I'm going to send a few online but there's nothing better than seeing our Clive's body language when answering tricky questions;) | xclusive2
30/5/2025 15:28:35 | $90m cash
2.85p per share
BNG Deeps $150m CE $50m WS $25m B8 $25m
$250m @ 1.35
£185m plus cash
10p per share anyone ;-) | the new norm
30/5/2025 13:22:06 | There are a lot of shares out there. Thankfully most are held (hopefully long-term) by insiders. The actual free float has to be pretty low? That could play to our advantage if there are share buy-backs, depending on how high they want the share price to rise. | stuart14
30/5/2025 12:31:01 | Hehehe. I got in at the IPO have averaged In over the last few years . Just bored of the wait . An RNS on a buy back would be Pretty positive. Shows confidence and is a better show financial stringency than a dividend. As always the question will it have much in an impact with total numbers of shares outstanding | maxim1999
30/5/2025 11:10:42 | Covid then the war in Ukraine and the Russian sanctions. | stuart14
30/5/2025 10:53:23 | does anyone else find it strange that for the last half a decade most of the activity by the company has been corporate actions rather than any actually tangible operational activity with the slight exception of 803! | jostrummer
30/5/2025 10:48:47 | Sounds like they will do a share buyback rather than special dividend with the money from the sale | stuart14
30/5/2025 10:07:19 | smarty, what's your take on the special resolutions 6/7?
is this the mechanism by which the pi's get shafted?
doubtful pi votes amount to 26% and even if it just about did, all pi's would have to vote against, which is most unlikely, so they will get passed. just hope i'm way off track with this. | konil
30/5/2025 09:38:00 | I hope it is more exciting than last years AGM. | jostrummer
30/5/2025 08:04:30 | Max you sound really down at moment, you OK mate? | the new norm
30/5/2025 07:51:37 | Resolution 7 looks like introduction of a share buyback scheme? | spangle93
30/5/2025 07:50:56 | Why would he be confident ? He has to announce an AGM at some stage. Those meetings are usually drawn out apologies for the previous year or promises that are never kept for the following year. As always I would be delighted with any good news but it's not something the company are great on | maxim1999
30/5/2025 07:11:29 | AGM date set for 25 June 2025
Clive must be confident he has things to tell us on the operational front and the AAs will be produced a few days before AGM date
Lots of breaking news incoming ;-) | the new norm
29/5/2025 15:11:19 | Nothing Konil. But to be fair for saying hes running the joint anything he told my mate never seemed to happen. A bit frightening really. | credock
29/5/2025 11:07:19 | Probably just nostalgia but it was alot simpler getting the AAs out back in the day! | the new norm
