X2 The Caspian Explorer: -- operates principally between May and November as the Northern Caspian Sea is subject to ice in the winter months.

That means this year still has a possible 200 days, subject to ice, for operations.

There have been reports of its movement from marine tracking satellite sites covering the dockyard . Were they just to collect the empty vodka or Baltica beer bottles from the sea bed ?. The satellite image isn’t detailed enough to detect.

hi smarty, yep i'm not too positive currently with the radio silence especially given the issues with kaz officialdom. 5th feb rns stated "We look forward to the case being considered by the Kazakh authorities later this month." it is 3 months on now and not a peep, not even a status update.

re. going private, i also thought along similar lines to you and still hope that to be the case, but as the years pass with no deep success, ko and gang must be looking at various options, after all ao does not seem to have made a mark and although shin has come in as coo there is nothing stopping him from catalysing a different corporate strategy.

re. flying pigs, yes my last sentence previous post was really a dig at how unlikey that is and that the likely reality is casp are in a mess. can only hope its the other way around.

I do chuckle when i read your posts, from the abyss to the flying pigs....lol

Taking Private ? not impossible but as stated many times, that's a disaster for them. All the planning to get assets into a shell with the plan to max out on m/cap build before eventual trade sale. The building of a services business with the skills and local knowledge to support new OE companies into the region...lol. Why use Caspian when they have a poor operational record. Only reason they go Private is if it's a last resort and down shoite creek with a chopstick.

Was hoping that the new man would lay out his stall and communicate effectively but i still live in hope that he may be different. We need more detail on operations, what is the real issue with the deeps and detailed operational plan to deliver the best outcome.

I take some comfort from the fact that they continue to chase the deeps, FOMO and desperation or they still believe that flowing one or more is achievable.

ce, kaz authority issues, and production from existing mjf wells aside, we don't know if there is any operational activity ongoing at all. and possibly very little happening on the first 2 also (ce/kaz).

i suspect everything is on hold while shin comes up with a strategy for the company. this sort of thing normally does not end well for the pi.

they never did treat outside shareholders very well as regards reporting but they seem to have completely forgotten they are a listed entity, perhaps shin is talking going private and raising funds from mates or vc?

on the other hand they may be on the verge of releasing stupendous results on the deep programme.

Meanwhile, Brent having another pop at $70. Hopefully domestic prices are also on the rise so no excuses re getting operations going.Looks like the CE has missed another drilling year, painful when knowing its $25m a go. Toggle, doesn't look like that's a player but still time I suppose. Any cash would be good and maybe a discounted deal over 2 years ? first year @ 50% ? Several assets not delivering, they know what they need to do to transform this company from minnow to mid sized player.

Hallow ...I believe Casp could have got the refund award, but are awaiting for it to be transferred into their account before they make any announcement. And even then it will be buried in an overall operational rns.

Just heard on the grapevine jamesey3, that Clive, Tim, and Mr Shin are not satisfied with offers of £100 million per share and are saying they want £800 million per share because of what they are sitting on.

Your timing may be spot on although i'm hoping for a little share price jolt northwards from a positive appeal result, maybe even a refund going back 18 months which would help accelerate the operational effort. Would be good to understand a realistic operational timetable that they can deliver to, over to you Mr Shin.

xclusive, nice summary. I have done well out of CASP trading it before and never expected to see it stay at these levels.

May have cash available in a month or two so if things might start building in Q3 seems like I may get another chance to do well out of CASP.
