I asked Carillion why they never released news of a contract win on the £300 million Manchester towers.They replied back to me The short answer is that Manchester Towers is not a contract win. As we understand it, CN saw planning application for this development by Ask Real Estate, in which Carillion has an equity interest, and assumed that it meant Carillion has a contract to build it, which is not true. It may become the case in due course subject to the planning application etc.Kind regards

clln may possibly announce better than expected results at month end.
maybe the cash call will be smaller than anticipated.

just instinct, but the share price will move significantly, up or down in about 2 weeks time.

I am trying to make some sense of the Interserve accounts walk down.

It seems that they have gone from an exit provision for Energy From Waste

First £80m
Second £160m
Now - that is materially inadequate....

There are great similarities in the company's - though I guess not that specific project.
They way it has been reported etc.

History tells us - profit warnings come in threes and there will be an another announcement here by the end of the month....

Thanks for all your UNBIASED free advice RCT and fenners but I will not be taking it. Congratulations on all your efforts here. You certainly put the time in. Now how much per post do you receive in remuneration? It's not worth it whatever it is.You kid yourselves if you consider your posts influence anyone. racg, I think that must be 3 times you have now promised not to post lol.

You spend a lot of effort attacking the man not the ball, always a sign you are losing the argument (or in your case losing the money).

Carillion is a gamble not an investment currently. I would advise anyone thinking of buying to wait until the interim results come out at the end of September to see what they say.

@fenners - apologies for breaking my word so quickly but yes ok, I agree keep our comments to the RNS, ascribing motives etc will quickly lead us all down a rabbit hole but, that applies to comments on those long too right? No need to repeatedly claim how blinded, foolhardy etc holders are is there?

After all, you, as another poster with no financial impediment clouding your fine intellectual capacity, can zero in on the truth of the matter and comment without the slightest hint of bias in your opinion upon carillion. It is so great of you to give up your valuable time for us. If only I could nominate you for an award. You are truly a hero.
