richardly, it is probably the best bet to contact EK on Master Investor. I doubt much escapes himself. Watch out as there are a few posters pertaining to him.

Note the shares have recently gone up 20% after the EOY results. The company is buying back shares up to 5m to give us a chance to sell at a decent price, 38p.

BSX and Jenkins only. On BSX you need to be a "qualified investor" which means an investment of $100k minimuum. On Jenkins you may struggle to trade the shares. Even if CIHL does well the results won't necessarily be reflected in the share price. I have had WIHL shares on Jenkins for yrars and until something big happens it is dead money.

They will be transferred to JPJenkins where it will be tough to trade them. I would sell your holding now. The company is simultaneously buying back the shares that investors are selling which is keeping the share price buoyant

CIHL is now at my floor guess of a while back in the range 28p - 37p. Nothing for a while from one of the largest holders after his Lordship, namely EK: No doubt he bought many of his shares at very low prices and may still be in plus territory. In this market, it is difficult to sell in quantity so he is locked in - probably not minding anyway.

Where to now? I haven't a clue and I leave that to wiser investors/punters of planet tax avoiders and others.

I have had these for just over a year and seen them move up and right back down. A lot of the bull arguments earlier looked at the dividend announced and extrapolated what this (then) implied for final dividend and further dividends meant in the months and years ahead. Whilst Covid and the bank merger/takeover have loomed large this year, it always struck me as strange that even experienced investors thought the dividends would continue to flow unabated.
If you look at the actual dividend announcement, it says that that was almost exclusively due to lapsed warrants on CIHL shares, the subsequent accounting procedure allowing dividend payment, rather than any underlying profit performance.
Ergo, just because final dividend payments are almost always larger than the interim dividend payments (which that one was), doesn't means that it always follows it will be so.
My point is, it is much more likely that any subsequent call options would also lapse at this level, rather than at the highs which CIHL got to late last year. Does anyone know if there are other option packages out the that are likely now to lapse ? This, I think, is a much likelier source of future dividends than a seemingly mediocre performance that has been seen over the last year. If so, this would be much more supportive at this level of the market IMHO.

Today's report shows that CIHL has suffered under covid. The chance of a dividend coming out of profits looks unlikely. The shares IMHO look overvalued now and may go below the recent 37p low point. Restless investors may consider exiting or reducing their position.

Investor0109, EK and family is one of the largest investors in CIHL after his Lordship of course by many a mile. Considered the best authority around on the company. So there you goes.

75 deaths for Belize per capita compared with the United States = 60,000 compared to US actual deaths at 242,000.
Above Figures as reported on 12 November 2020.

I notice Interactive Investors ii will not trade CIHL online. They will also not allow the share to be held in an ISA.
Trading Account: Unfortunately we are unable to trade this stock on-line. For more information, click here
ISA: This stock may not be held in an ISA or an II Junior ISA.

Strange the ISA bit as I'm holding a private company in Hong Kong, registered in The British Virgin Islands, that has never yet traded, in an ISA. All its assets are in mainland China through a Shanghai subsidiary.
As a side thought. About 670,000 mainland Chinese companies are registered in BVI. They amount to about 42% of the assets registered there at about 650 billion US Dollars.

You are correct in that Link Asset Services is involved in share dealing. However, Link Market Services, or to be pedantic, Link Market Services (Jersey) Limited is the Registrar for the Company (see www.cihltd.co/investor-information.html)

My holdings were bought via Hargreaves Lansdown, on the register those shares are not in my name but in HL Nominees Ltd. If underlying investors bought via Link Asset Services, it is more than likely they are held in Link Nominees.

However if there is an agreement between, say, Hargreaves Lansdown and Link, then HL (or any other broker) may decide to use Link Nominees.

Either way, Link Market Services nor Link Asset Services are not the underlying holders, merely acting as nominees. You are also correct in your assumption of Lord Ashcroft's holding (assuming public information is up to date), but the free float is indeed larger than your earlier assumption.
