14/10/2008 16:33 | After some very modest trades today, these ones followed before the close: Time Price Volume Value Buy/Sell Type 15:59 435.00p 1 £4 Buy AT 15:59 435.00p 2 £9 Buy AT 15:43 434.50p 5 £22 Sell AT 15:43 434.75p 6 £26 Sell AT 15:42 435.00p 7 £30 Buy AT Have the MMs manipulated the price up at the close? edit Though I now see it dropped back 40p on the bell. | domwilliams
13/10/2008 10:07 | The trading update should be solid - it is more the future that is of concern. The update was on 10th October last year so, if it comes out in the next few days, it will be too early for them to know whether there is going to be a problem in that area in the next 6-12 months | kenmill
10/10/2008 23:09 | Good point, kenmill - though ultimately the councils will be hoping for the govt to ride to the rescue. And whilst in hindsight it must be a relief for CTH that they put the £120m facility in place in April with RBS/Anglo Irish, they must be paying a large sum each month to service that debt, leaving them susceptible to damaging EPS and the divi if occupancy levels slip back. Do you have any expectation for the trading update (if indeed they issue one ahead of the results)? | domwilliams
10/10/2008 22:56 | A bit of a worry now with most of their income coming from local councils that may have lost a big chunk of money in Iceland | kenmill
30/6/2008 10:18 | Placing is good news as it shows awareness of keeping the debt level manageable. Price dropping on very small turnover - presumably in sympathy with Claimar although that is a different business. Councils can't be seen to not support disabled/learning difficulties sufferers. In their recent results, CTH margins are improving whereas CCGP's are collapsing. | kenmill
08/4/2008 09:58 | AGM on the 18th - hopefully there will be a positive update on trading. Assuming growth rate has been maintained - it should go higher - only debt level holding it back. | kenmill
12/11/2007 13:34 | Small update in the November SCSW - finishes with "very strong hold" | kenmill
09/11/2007 11:43 | Yup, still watching. Be interested at around 450p where the fwd PE is 23 or so. | wjccghcc
09/11/2007 10:02 | The price has retraced almost 25% since its high in August. This has brought it back to a more sensible forward p/e for the current climate. Less than 4 weeks to go to the results - small selling continuing to make the price drift. | kenmill
03/9/2007 21:48 | A forward PE of 30 doesn't seem particularly cheap given that most of the growth is acquistion led. | wjccghcc
03/9/2007 19:25 | mitzis First 1 x bagger for me when we hit 640p! :-) Latest SCSW update is upbeat about prospects. Based on expected operating profit the multiple is 8x so very eps enhancing. EPS has been upgraded by Brewin Dolphin to 20.8p for the year to start. Keep holding! | honestjim2
01/9/2007 11:47 | What an incredible share. | mitzis
07/8/2007 14:21 | Quite a few big sells going thru at 6quid | miti 1000
03/8/2007 20:48 | Nice end to the week! You're right siskin this is a wonderful share. I must admit I don't look at the intra-day trades, just the chart! 8-)) | honestjim2
03/8/2007 10:26 | Happens quite regular Sisken. | mitzis
02/8/2007 22:49 | Can anyone explain the trading in this share? Why are there so many trades of 30-something or 40-something shares or similar, most of which are shown as buys? It makes no sense to me - something's up, I reckon, and I'm not sure I like the look of it much..... Before I'm accused of de-ramping, I'm not - I hold this wonderful share and want to keep holding it - but I just don't understand this pattern of trading. | siskinbird
02/8/2007 20:56 | 600p beckons again! 8-) | honestjim2
14/7/2007 20:48 | I wonder where we will go from here? Looks like we've 'bounced' off the bottom. | honestjim2
12/6/2007 15:28 | Lol Jim..... | mitzis
11/6/2007 10:08 | I'm not selling Ken the Telegraph said that a 75% gain in less than 6 months was worth banking.. take profits they said...in my opinion the Ftse will touch 7000 this year and Caretech will rise to 600p plus so I am not considering selling just yet. | mitzis
11/6/2007 10:02 | And the market agrees | kenmill1
10/6/2007 18:25 | If you read the recent results and their view of current trading, I see no reason to sell, apart from cashing in profits in a falling market. The Telegraph track record on sell recommendations is not good and I certainly would not follow their recommendations under any circumstances. | kenmill1
10/6/2007 14:07 | Thanks for the info Jim. Yes I like Haik and the future is very promising and sold other shares to buy more.. Meanwhile the Telegraph today suggests selling Caretech after the recent 75% gain since they tipped them... lets see what happens on Monday. | mitzis
09/6/2007 20:42 | mitzis I see you were asking about other SCSW tips on the HAIK board (which I hold). EAGA is the front page write up, PV Crystalox Solar and TRY are other tips. They like the look of BATM too particularly for next year. I could do with a recent tip from SCSW - LOK perking up a bit! | honestjim2 |
