the possibility exists that bensh may come back and ask shareholders for money in a rights offering to help pay for colombia...this shouldn't be a problem if there's a lot of value for taurex shareholders....this could get interesting....we can only hope so after all of these years. the big question is, can bensh can support?

well spotted bb44, but there is a more recent announcement, if you look on the Quetzal Energy website and read the latest company news.

turbotrader2, maybe I shouldn't have taken you literally when you said RB "answered emails", but if he does, I'd like to know at what address and what exactly he's said. (Your summary is no doubt apt, but a bit cryptic!)

NML

New Millennium

Are another company where the directors faded away to a foreign land, Australia, and nothing has been done.

They sold two tranches of shares in Hudson (TSX), and have just sold some equipment to Panagea Diamonds, and now it has been liquidated, with no money remaining for shareholders!

well its definitely no use asking the FSA to investigate
nor the LSE
past experience proves both to be uninterested in the small shareholders
(and after the company goes bust we are all 'small'

how many were 'punished' for Mayflower??
or Marconi
or Brit Energy?

broke no rules? Did their best?

Whatever they did, they certainly did their best to make it as difficult as possible for shareholder to see them working long and hard and honestly to do their best!

Not for one second do i believe they did either of the above in the shareholders eyes!

Yep, strange that it is possible to do that for a UK (formerly) listed company. I wonder what happened to the cash that they received from the sale.

But (assuming) they broke no rules, the directors did their best, which was nowhere near good enough.

Its the rules that need changing, not human nature.

its pretty disgusting really how a company like this sneaks off to a distant land and then fades away, not doubt with the directors pocketing the assets and starting up again somewhere!

I think we have to face it....its a gonna!

now we have to ASP get HMRC to include on the 'neg value' list so we can offset

ASP before losses going forward are no longer an option!
(I dont know why they havent already withdrawn this 'opportunity'

turbotrader2,

The company secretary can "deal" providing he has a willing buyer and seller, ie a matched bargain.
