As we wait interminably for a rerating on the back of the positive quarterly updates, the Final results are now just 6 weeks tomorrow, 18th March.

Perhaps we'll start a run up to those soon...perhaps

Benski,

There will be some who undoubtedly will be looking at the opportunity cost given the broader market is racing ahead - many small companies are multiples of their prices back in March whereas this one is plodding along at a very leisurely pace, notwithstanding good developments in terms of new business and so on.

The Co. appears to be very comfortable in not promoting this and the placing was very badly handled for reasons previously set out. There is little interest in the shares - for those such as myself willing to wait patiently until it reaches a sensible valuation (which will come), but if the wider market declines then this will retrace with it. Shame it has not joined in with the rally noted across smallcaps over the past year, but there we are...

Incidentally, i do not subscribe to the view that there is only one seller - I think there has been plenty of selling from lesser holders who simply became bored by the lack of activity and have moved on - all of which has led to increased supply.

More selling today by the looks of it. Could the lack of momentum be making people look elsewhere?

I'm new to investing by the way....... CAPD were my first ever investment.

Cheers someuwin, you're on form today!

The GCI tip seems to have brought in interest with some buying this morning. Hopefully more to come. Do you have a direct link?

That's a great slide.

Hopefully some point soon, we can get past the very messy, principally CB, selling of the last couple of years, and have a share price that reflects the strengths of the business.

IMHO, and as per some broker coverage, the share price should probably be £1.20+ just on what we currently know.

YasX I agree mate. Whole thing is nuts, but with the share price where it was and CEY deal needing working cap to seal it, then zero choice, but brokers should work harder IMO for their clients in working up insti suppot....

Wonder how many miners CAP works for / investments in that have some silver off takes as well? Given price surge!

A positive Buy recommendation from David Thorton of @growthcompany

. David highlights positive market conditions, our stable revenue base from long-term contracts and growth of non-drilling revenue, together with revenue upside of expansion into mining services. #CAPD

thanks Riv

Not often you see a broker use the words "bewilderingly undervalued!"

--------------------

The problem with that is when the Co. broker avers such a perplexing disconnect, but at the same time the Co. undertakes a placing at 58p, it starts to feel like empty words. At the very least they ought to have matched the seller prior to considering a placing or engaged a buyback to offset the same.

At this point, there is very little interest in the shares, and much of that has to do with how the placing was orchestrated.

I hold.

Well with the market quote @ 60-61, one can buy just 2 shares online and sell good quantity (at least 28k) well inside Bid @ 60.56. I have been able to add £50pp at this level to my spread bet (long) with IG which seems handy and I'm tempted to keep doing it but I really find this background activity unfathomable.

More good news today from Altus and therefore CAPD with encouraging exploration results (perhaps I should invest in Altus!):

"Follow up drilling at the Diba Deposit and other prospects is being planned"

"Our technical team is reviewing the data received to date and planning a ground magnetic survey which will commence shortly and be used to guide the next phase of drilling."

"The RC drilling programme was completed by Capital Drilling Limited and comprises a total of 10,308m over 114 holes."

News from CAPD client Altus Strategies this morning that they've been awarded "a number of gold exploration licences" in Egypt.

Since CAPD (1) already have substantial work from Altus, and (2) have their major client (CEY) already located in Egypt, there must be a strong likelihood of this new work coming CAPD's way:

Thanks Aublune and welcome on board.....it's a frustrating one as they just seem to be super under valued IMO yet the market seems loathe to mark them / rate them properly.....as someone who worked in a plc for years, you can only just keep delivering the results, do your best on the IR front and value "will out" in the end!

Good weekends

Hello. Not a long post on capital but I have linked two paragraphs from me. I think this is a stock that is very interesting and very far below 10x p/e.

4 companies under 10x p/e

Just on the trading psychology element. Some potential investors and some current investors are currently paralysed about buying in or adding. The cause is "the big seller", and whether "the big seller" will unleash a wall of stock causing new positions to go under water.

The chart shows that even "the big seller" has a limit, which caps losses in the 10-15% area at existing purchase prices. It also shows a clear higher low. The next wall of worry that some new buyers will face is the reverse; they'll be paralysed because the price is going up and they have missed the opportunity. Because of this some people will pull the trigger well north of 70p, 80p or even after new highs are made.

On the other side of the trade for new buyers are the sellers. Some of those are also afraid of "the big seller" coming back. Some are very happy with their quick 10%. Some are underwater and are overjoyed to either cut losses or close flat.

Everyone of these is blinded to both the realistic valuation, even though in the buyers case it is why they are interested in the first place, and the fact it is the liquidity provided by "the big seller" that has created the discount.

I'm not casting aspersions; I've suffered from every single of those thoughts and behaviours and I suspect very few shake them of entirely.

Anyway, this is all a long winded way of saying that I too have been adding today, and will continue to add to leveraged positions on the way up.
