02/3/2017 20:07 | His long term record is exceptional. He exited BT.A just at the right time. So what he does here next will be interesting. Dumping RMG is now also looking a good call. | essentialinvestor
02/3/2017 20:06 | I have Woodford Equity Income - a large percentage - in my SIPP. | minerve
02/3/2017 20:05 | I have a lot of respect for Woodford. I don't understand why there is so much vitriol delivered against him. He is a good capitalist. | minerve
02/3/2017 20:02 | Yes, has given several interviews. See what happens. | essentialinvestor
02/3/2017 20:01 | Essential If I remember rightly he already did add a small tranche after the first bombshell. | minerve
02/3/2017 19:59 | M, he added to RR. and CNA on initial falls, before then selling, so hopefully will not repeat the same with CPI. | essentialinvestor
02/3/2017 19:56 | Essential If he does it will be going against his usual actions. | minerve
02/3/2017 19:53 | CPI is about to join HSTN in the MCX, so they can keep each other company. Be interesting to see if Woodford will continue to hold after these results, he dumped RMG, CNA, RR. BT.A over the past 2 years, will CPI be next. | essentialinvestor

02/3/2017 16:45 | Essential I suspect you already know this but for others as well....... You know that sometimes a high dividend cover - although good news - sometimes reflects uncertainty, or admittance of, potential huge variation in real forecast earnings. In other words, high-dividend cover taken on its own is not always better (in forecasting ability to pay the dividend) the higher it is. Tobacco companies have lower dividend cover than most REITs but their ability to pay the forecast dividend is greater than REITS who will have higher dividend cover. This is where track records come into play. I have NewRiver REIT paying about 7%. Quiet defensive and growing. I will have a look at Hansteen over the weekend. Have a good one. Minerve | minerve
02/3/2017 16:26 | M, have not really looked at this point, like to know where the 5% is coming from?. Added quite a bit of Hansteen(HSTN)today, that is a cracking yield play imv, it's a REIT so may not be of interest, they operate in an interesting sector of the market. HSTN also held their pay out right through the financial crisis, dividend is also well covered. All just IMV as always. Taking an early weekend as need a days break, hectic this week. | essentialinvestor
02/3/2017 16:19 | Are you attracted to Woodford's new income fund coming-up soon? 5% yield. | minerve
02/3/2017 16:19 | Essential I remain mostly invested. I just don't see this going anywhere fast and if anything there is probably more downside risk than any potential upside. With the Brexit and Euro activity going on the next couple of months I would personally keep the cash I have earmarked for CPI on the sidelines until at least some of the dust clears. We will be able to see Woodford's response next month - he will understand the stock much better than any of us here if not only because he probably has a direct phone connection! LOL | minerve
02/3/2017 16:10 | Hi M, hold just under 1,000 shares atm, it's not high conviction. Someone like Adam Crozier would be ideal here imv. Most of my capital is in IT holdings and need some dividend income so that money just stays put, if i could time the market believe me I would!. | essentialinvestor
02/3/2017 15:59 | Essential Isn't it best keeping the cash as cash - at least with this stock - until after French elections? When is the ex-dividend date? Haven't looked. | minerve
02/3/2017 15:53 | NY, thought we may get a sell in to the close, got down to 5.08, had 502.5 on the offer, did not take that it as thought sub £5 may be on the cards. No idea where the low is, but under 4.50 would surprise me, lets see. | essentialinvestor
02/3/2017 15:32 | I don't see this as an immediate buy, will monitor it closely though each day and hope the market gives me an opportunity to enter lower. Right off to top up with some more (SUN) | ny boy
02/3/2017 14:06 | You may get a fall in to the close, may add a few near there depending on price. | essentialinvestor
02/3/2017 14:02 | That saying you remotely catch the bottom and this looks like close to bottoming out so watching with interest | fewdollarsmore
02/3/2017 13:56 | Just wondering when the markets finally correct, where the share price will be, the markets may get ugly and throw a lot of stocks out with the bathwater. | ny boy
02/3/2017 13:43 | Don't see that, may be wrong. FCF looks OK, some recent contract wins. Possibly 4.50, 4 looks too low. | essentialinvestor
02/3/2017 12:05 | more downside on the horizon.400p before May | sr2day
02/3/2017 12:03 | I'll do it if they pay me enough | ny boy |
