Price fluctuations do seem to have a pattern either side of 30p ish.

they talk about saving against run costs & then spend on exceptionals, like build of the forecasting system that hasn't been used yet

Q: when do you write a system build cost off if it is expected to have useful life?
A: when you can argue than the work done won't be of much use!

& surely forecasts could not be more accurate than they were once before the new system

Do some of their covenants not require them to maintain a market capitalisation above £500m?

It's hard to escape the conclusion that nearly all stocks will go to zero and the bondholders will assume control of all companies.

on Respirators they have not said what spec /design is required they should share the design .I bet Dyson has done this already also get the Dragons on board their factories in far east can churn them out 24x7 all they have to do is fly out a couple of Jumbos and get them and distribute. Not rocket science !!. Unless the Govt want to distract joe public ..

well, he made a bold prediction along time ago about 35p & who would have guessed it would be 42% overstated so far with more to come?

Heads should roll over confidence lost on false expectations set mid year before signalling a fresh impetus is needed for "the" "turnaround".

One of the repositioning proposals is even to become a consultancy service having used external consultants extensively in efforts of "turnaround" so far. People here have commented in this string about alienation experienced by service management because of seeing existing as problematic.

A business like this ought to see its profitability increase over renewal cycles of LT contracts especially if they had had, as we read, a period pre 2016 when a central drive for growth & early profit recognition by a sales department, not involved with delivery, attributed profit, where possible, to early activities like build work rather than service delivery. The advantage of being an incumbent with a self built system is lost if service delivery feels undervalued & part of "the" problem "to fix".

I feel for the 61,000 employees, or most of them. This stock has more value in it than this so to that extent I agree with your frustration.

I think this stands more chance than most businesses, they have multiple government contracts, including the emergency services, so even if there some pressure, the government and banks are likely to support any refinancing. The business is also services and digital, so is not going to face same challenges of retail. Hopefully this is a hidden gem, for when this situation resolves itself, madness on the markets, people can't price anything.
