drobinson1991,

I doubt very much that the IR dept will answer your questions.

1. " How much exposure as a % of total sales is coming from this tech"
You'll have to work this out for yourself

2."Does CPX hold any trademarks / patents etc. that gives them an advantage?"
They may tell you which patents they have but do you really expect them to answer this question? I suggest you watch some Youtube videos of Mr Kongatts and form your own opinion.

3."Is this the only growth opportunity within CPX at the moment or is there other technology that offers better opportunity.
Again, do you really expect them to answer this question?

I'm sorry, if I sound offensive, but you really do need to do your own research and make up your own mind.
Best Wishes.

Fantastic! Thanks guys, that's gonna put me on the right track. I will keep you posted on what I find out. Btw has anyone contacted the investor relations for CPX? Do they tend to be helpful with questions?

Drobinson,

If you have not read this yet you might find this report from Allenby Capital helps with your research. There are also some interviews with Anthony Kongats on Youtube available as well.

See other thread, Samsung S9 will have a super cap battery, who has the only patented slimline super cap that fits in a phone.

I recall talking to a graphene company a few years ago who had done some work with a super/ultra-capacitor company, thought at the time to have been Skeleton. My recollection was that it had been difficult to replicate the lab performance in the real world.

drobinson1991,

By entering the word "patent" into the search box above the following post is brought up:

==================

ProactiveST - 14 Apr 2016 - 15:04:41 - 2021 of 5544 CAP-XX Supercapacitors - Power to the IoT - CPX
Video interview with Anthony Kongats

Anthony Kongats, chief executive of super-capacitor specialist Cap-XX Limited (LON:CPX), joins Proactive to discuss its interim results and the company’s licence agreement with US manufacturer AVX Corporation.
He says the AVX deal is a “really strong signal to the market the Cap-XX technology is not only strong from a patent point of view but also from a value point of view.
Last month, the company reported interim results that were hit by slower orders as the market in general has weakening demand, but Kongats adds that he expects sales to be “picking up in the near termâ€5533;.
He says the company will continue to look for partnerships this year, either in the form of joint ventures or licence agreements, to push forward its pipeline of new products including Thinline and Truckstart.

====================
This should give you a good starting point for one of your searches.

You’re asking in the wrong place, i’m not sure anyone here knows the answer to those questions. I’ve been watching for a while but quality research into CPX looks rather thin on the ground.

Afternoon chaps,

Relatively new to this stock hence the following questions that I have.
As most of you are aware, there was a news article that came out today regarding ultra capacitors / super capacitors and the estimated potential in the growth of this going forward. I have a few questions which would really help me understand CPX in greater detail.
- How much exposure as a % of total sales is coming from this tech
- Does CPX hold any trademarks / patents etc. that gives them an advantage?
- Is this the only growth opportunity within CPX at the moment or is there other technology that offers better opportunity.
- What is there estimated market share in this tech and is this likely to grow or shrink as the industry expands.
- Skeleton Technologies claim they are the only manufacturer covering the full value chain. If this is the case, what part of the chain is CPX in? They also say this on their website "Curved graphene" - At the heart of our ultracapacitors' performance advantage is Skeleton’s nanotechnology research into patented curved graphene. Curved graphene differs significantly from regular activated carbons, which are used by other ultracapacitor manufacturers. All competitors use organic pre-cursor materials, mostly carbon made from coconut, Skeleton is the only company to use an inorganic pre-cursor and has patented the synthesis process for the proprietary material. The use of curved graphene is one of the key factors in achieving the superior energy density of our ultracapacitors. Skeleton Technologies has also achieved one of the lowest ESR (equivalent series resistance) levels on the market. This factor is crucial as it greatly increases the efficiency of the cells by reducing the amount of energy that is lost as heat. This is also an advantage because cooling systems can be downsized or removed altogether." Does CPX have competitive advantage over this?

If these questions have already been asked and answered I apologise, I am quite interested in learning more about this stock. thanks in advance.

Any weakening of the share price attracts buyers who understand the long term potential of CPX and it's massive growth potential from many areas of the industry :-)
