Help please - I've had a telephone approach from a company offering $1.33 per share as compensation for CMR.
They've sent me a Notice of Default stating that the company will no longer be a viable trading company after 14th Oct, and that shares would become valueless from that day.
"The consequences of declining said offer will leave the shareholder with no legal ownership of said equity".
Advice very welcome

Just prowling as usual .

I note that the share price of Glencore has risen 39% since Brexit vote .

I draw no conclusions from that fact .

I welcome opinions .

( Not on Blackburn Rovers ! - we are sh*te I know ) !

The Copper price has gone up this year to $4800 per tonne.
Zinc price is nearing $2500 per tonne. Start of the year it was $1500.
I wonder what Glencore are going to do with Valverde if prices continue to rise. It's a big prospect. Glencore should give CMR a free carry on their 20% if Valverde is worth it. Or at least allow CMR to pay them back once production starts.

2015 December results at website. Not exactly cheerful and almost everything now given away as payment plus a load of shares which may not have a real value without a buyer.

It's all about boys and there toys I believe, and some enjoy holes in the ground

I think we are expected to assume the Chairman's report published 5 weeks ago in the AR is the latest update of his blog.

Masa Valverde looks dead in the water unless finance is found to keep the JV with Glencore on track.

Romerita also looks dead in the water unless finance is found and/or a JV partner to move project forward.

The Company is hanging on by its fingernails. Rabbit out a hat needed. Been some saga this has. I see Burton has been appointed back onto the Board having retired. Raised eyebrows doesn't begin to cover it...........

Oh my... When will people see this is a cash cow for all those involved. Been the same for years. Its amazing how they get away with it is my view, but hey, Im very burned, and learned. She will never relist, and even if she did it would only then benefit others, not longstanding shareholders who lost everything.

I note from the recently published accounts that Burton is still an executive Director of the Company. When was he re-instated? Was there ever any announcement? Shareholder vote? What a way to run a railroad!!

"Cambridge Mineral Resources plc (“CMR” or “the Company”), the mining exploration and development company, announces that Mr Michael Burton, the Managing Director of the Company, will be standing down from the Board following the conclusion of the forthcoming AGM on November 18th 2015 due to retirement."

The directors seem to have amassed quite a chunk of shares and owed wages amounting to another chunk of shares eventually with existing long term holders
Not getting any consistent company info. The company operating although doing
what at some expence with parts suddenly just not there anymore or mentioned...

Seems to have been tidied up ready for a givaway at probably paper face value
which may be 5p a share.

Anyone else have any confidence in progress of any sort??????......

Lochlea,

Good points, and the "consultancy fees" make for interesting reading, as you rightly say.

The consutancy fee trick is used often in Canada, where a CEO states " I earn $60K per annum", but fails to mention huge consultancy fees being paid to a company he runs in the background.

I ALWAYS check the related party transactions sections of accounts now, I guess there's a good reason why it's at the end of the accounts!

The difference between the two AR's? This is AIM. nobody cares!

This lot really are a shower.

You read the bullish stuff in the last website update (only a few months back) about the wholly owned Romerita property and then look at what the AR just published says and I had to double check it was one & the same property.

Burton & Slater seem to be more active with their own wee companies than they are with CMR. You wonder for what exactly we owe Burton's Euroventure £230,000 for. As for Slater's Bay Mining and his fees. At a quick glance - what he received as shown in last year's AR for 2014 seems to differ as shown for 2014 in this AR. How can that possibly be, if the 2 ARs and accounts have been properly audited???????

You can't help feeling this will NEVER relist but will be sold off at any price to pay off creditors and the Directors and their own set-up companies.

THE PRICE OF FAILURE?

targatarga,

LOL!

They certainly refuse to die nut the financials don't look too good, look at the admin expenses for last year!

And that's with nobody taking a "salary"!

I wonder where they can raise a similar sum this year?
