Bought Cambria for about 10p many years ago I soon discovered that the directors then were probably useless if not a liability - were common directors with Lonrho Africa and could not sort out transactions between the 2 companies - authorities should have taken them to court and struck them off - cost a small fortune in legal fees and management time to sort out. These directors should have been made to pay for sorting it out. I took up my rights and bought a few hundred pounds worth of extra shares - there were a few days that this did not look a bright investment decision but these results showed my faith was justified. I don't know whether I will get all my money back - senior management have not taken any remuneration which will be a hit on future profit growth. I note that the closure of the Zambia operation will help profitability. I also have shares in Goldplat which operates in Africa and like Cambria they are also involved serious litigation. In both cases a successful outcome will have a major impact on the shareprice Here's hoping for a better future

Earlier WH Ireland rates Cambria as a 'speculative buy' and has a 14p price target – which is almost three times the current 5.5p share price.Another City broker, Beaufort Securities, repeated its 'speculative buy' rating, and said Cambria's shares "could witness a strong upside"."The progress of Cambria's subsidiary, Millchem, towards further commercialisation of its distribution capabilities is encouraging," the broker said.

Hi David, you and me both. I had writen it off so many times but when we got this new Board and they went after Lonrho and won then another court case and another it said to me they were wanting to create a success or at least try !. They could so very easily have milked the company until they could milk no more, not unusual for AIM !. Do not risk what you can not aford to loose. Fingeres crossed.

Hi David, I did not take up the recient offer due to lack of money. i have though been buying the odd £100 / £150 lots since. I feared the worst on Friday on the fall when the trade was the same price of what i had been paying. Fingers crossed we have good news. PS, i do not know if anyone as been keeping tabs on the above Insiderzim link ! but most of the company news gives a positive feel for the Zimbabwe economy with profits rising.

Hmmm - starting to wake up? Interesting to see buying this morning. News leaking perhaps? Now it is on the leader board it may start attracting a bit more speculative interest..... DL

Yes- certainly one of my riskier 'investments'..... Still- I am assuming the worst (written off in real terms) but if it comes good, who knows 🙂 DL

We just need to look forward to the court ruling and the hope that Cambria's counter claim wins. Leaving the deck clear of legal action's for and against, and then the BoD can focus on investin any money's. Nearly forgot about the elections in 2018. Gulp.

considering the open offer was to allow existing minor shareholders the opportunity to participate in what could have just been steamrollered through in VALs benefit only (going to happen anyway) it seems to me disingenuous of 'ALLIANCE NEWS' to report the uptake so negatively. They didn't need this element- just looking after us smaller shareholders.... Begin to see how 'the media' earn their reputation 😕 DL

I have just noticed yesterdays RNS - open offer. Not a great take up but when the share price drops to the offer price it isn't a big suprise.
