Not a tax bill but it's actually a divorce bill (both hurt just the same)

Unfortunately when a judge says you have to pay so much, you can't say if you can just hang on a few weeks, months because CDN will be taken over soon. You have a strict deadline to meet and therefore are forced to liquidise some of your assets which are as close to fruition as possible.

Caledon announces that on 11 May 2011 George Salamis, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, sold 266,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 104.4786 pence each.

Mr Salamis was a founder of Caledon. He has never before sold any of his shares in the Company and this transaction was effected in order to meet various personal financial obligations and commitments.

Signing of Non-Solicitation Agreement

The non-solicitation agreement between Bidco, GRAM and Caledon that was signed on 27 January 2011 expired on 28 February 2011.

Following receipt of the SASAC approval, Bidco, GRAM and Caledon have now entered into a new Non-Solicitation Agreement on the same terms. The new Non-Solicitation Agreement will expire (i) on 15 June 2011 if the Acquisition Announcement has not been made or the approval set out below is refused or cannot be obtained by that date; or (ii) if the Scheme terminates or lapses in accordance with its terms or, as applicable, the Offer is withdrawn by Bidco (with the consent of the Panel, if required) or lapses or the Non-Solicitation Agreement is otherwise terminated in accordance with its terms.

Spights - above story confirmed in todays Alphaville - so it finally does look lke we have reached the end of the line - see those longs being added to @ 102+ today (wish a had a million a point on her now!) ;-)
