12/6/2024 18:41 | Hi Sid - B I have no idea nor care as to what Discodave said. He's always knocking CBOX - he's either short or has a vendetta against the shares. I take anything he says with a pinch of salt. IMO Sukh will have some exciting growth comments at tomorrow's presentation.I agree with Justiceforthemany - the price should ( and will) be 250p but if the bidder cones out of the woodwork v soon it would have to be at or above that level | levinson1
12/6/2024 17:45 | @Levinson, you are right about the CFO but @disc0dave46 shared an interesting insight about his past. What's that all about? Also, I think even before foreign expansion there is still scope for Cakebox to grow domestically. I think the franchisees are having difficulty raising capital to open new stores and justifying the RoI to the banks is getting difficult with the higher interest rates. In one of the investor calls I had suggested Sukh if CB can look into helping the franchisee raise capital on the back of their own balance sheet strength (e.g. McDonalds is a master of owning the land/stores that their franchisees operate). Anyways, I am sure Sukh and the rest of the team realise the growth potential of CB. Also, note that if you add up store growth, new pop-ups and increase in cake prices (with inflation), the increase in revenue should be higher than where it is now. Unless, like for like volumes have reduced. | sid_b
12/6/2024 15:25 | Growth is pedestrian compared to when it was hitting those ratings (25% To 75% eps growth, now a paltry 7%).Their target number of stores will take another 9 years to hit.....too slow. If they screw their franchisees like CFO did at Domino's then the writings on the wall!. | disc0dave46
12/6/2024 13:52 | 12.5p EPS for the next year. These stocks with net cash and growth usually trade at 20x P/E Should be trading around 250p | justiceforthemany
11/6/2024 23:56 | Hi Sid B - Think growth will accelerate after period of consolidation has now taken place and have asked this question for Thursday's investor presentation whether foreign expansion is on the cards soonImo the Australian bidder will return soon- they haven't built up a stake of 5% in a relatively illiquid stock for no reasonBtw the new FD was previously at Dominos - so he knows how to drive growth .Exciting times ahead either way . | levinson1
11/6/2024 21:32 | The whole point of having a capital-light model is to be able to scale quickly and without a lot of capital. Opening c.20 stores per year is way below their potential. They need senior executives from Mcdonalds, Yum brands, Chipotle or other successful brands who have scaled businesses in past. Currently, with EPS growth of c. 10% and PE c. 12-14 is not way off the fair value mark. Market wants to see the company fulfil its growth potential. If they revamp their sr. mgmt team they can achieve their true potential. Sukh can take the chairman position... after all, why not? | sid_b
11/6/2024 15:45 | Discodave, the shorter, emerges | levinson1
11/6/2024 14:24 | Agree, seems on the high side price wise IMO.Decent results but FY25 eps forecast only 12.1p by their house broker. I've seen 12.7p so already on a forward PE of 14.2x to 14.9x which is steep with growth only single digits at best.Turned into a solid business but as posted they need a clearer long term strategy for growth, their target stores will take ages to hit, by then competition will love those margins and start having a bigger piece of their cake.250 is fantasy. | disc0dave46
11/6/2024 14:15 | 220-240 is my target. Maybe Conservative maybe not. Hardly any shares rise on results at the moment, plus the markets are dire | johndoe23
11/6/2024 13:45 | Price should be higher imo because growth should accelerate considerably given that there has been a period of consolidation . Fair value imo 250p per share | levinson1
11/6/2024 13:24 | That's historic PE. Forward PE 13.5p/14p earnings FY'25, makes 13 times forward earnings. I would have fair value at around 200p, any bid premium 10-20% on top of that | johndoe23
11/6/2024 12:58 | 180p share. 11.65p earnings -> 15.5x p/e. That is premium to most retailers. Growth is hardly shooting the lights out. What's the investment case here? | mortal1ty
11/6/2024 09:21 | Paltry 5p rise on the bid | johndoe23
11/6/2024 08:22 | Very impressive. Investor presentations through this week. I'm going to one. And now the bid ? | levinson1
11/6/2024 08:11 | Cracking dividend. Net cash up ++ | justiceforthemany

11/6/2024 07:32 | Decent results,6.1p final divi | johndoe23
10/6/2024 08:39 | Up up and away. 250p this week ? Results tomorrow and imo bid imminent | levinson1
07/6/2024 12:47 | That would be very nice ; and then the bid. | levinson1
07/6/2024 12:30 | A final dividend of 6p would be nice. | justiceforthemany
07/6/2024 11:40 | Very strong bids but the buyers trying not to push the price up against themselves. This looks like an imminent upward breakput | levinson1
07/6/2024 11:36 | 8k bought at 176p | johndoe23
07/6/2024 09:53 | Party has begun. Only buying so far and at 175p. Imo 250p next week | levinson1
06/6/2024 17:25 | 25,000 share buyer at 175p went through. IMO the fun will start tomorrow. Bid very strong; not much on offer | levinson1 |
