TT2; Thanks for the ZULU Screen update, has a good track record over the years, but depressing few share selections. (I have held JNEO for a while, and it’s done well so far).

Yep, great recent update and looks very good for 2024 imo. Did pick up from Stocko over the weekend that the number of long screens CRN qualifies for, as jumped recently from 1 screen to 6. This includes the Jim Slater ZULU principle screen. Perhaps more Stocko users will be picking up on this now. With positive relative strength and increased recent volumes, I am hoping this can push on further. Good luck with your investment here.

Cairn Homes plc posted Interims for the 6 months ended 30th June 2023 this morning. The Group has experienced its best period to date for sales agreed with a current closed and forward order book of 2,730 homes with a net sales value in excess of €1 billion. 535 new home sales were closed, €219.5 million revenue generated and €29.6 million operating profit earned. Strong demand underpins management’s confidence in further upgrading FY23 guidance. The business is now expected to deliver FY23 sales completions of at least 1,800 new homes, an 18% increase over FY22 and a corresponding increase in operating profit to between €110 - €115 million, generating an operating margin of c. 16.5%. Valuation is attractive with forward PE ratio around 8x and top quartile for the sector, dividend yield is over 9 % and top ranked out of 25 names in the sector. The share price also has positive momentum. Main cloud is the macro backdrop and its potential impact on house prices, but management has plans to commence over ten new sites in the next 12 months, to support growth ambitions for 2024 and 2025. BUY...

The share buyback, along with the market-beating results and upgrade will underpin Cairn's performance in due course.

Very positive results, the market will love the circa doubling of the share buy-back.It's what's known as a virtuous cycle. And yes, they are cancelling the bought-back shares.

https://www.independent.ie/business/personal-finance/property-mortgages/central-bank-confirm-no-change-to-mortgage-rules-37574747.htmlAbout one-third, or more than €300 million, wiped off its value this year. It is increasingly clear that sentiment towards Irish property companies is changing, and that change is negative.Quietly, bankers and those in the property industry will tell you that one of the reasons the shares of housebuilders are running out of steam is that the Central Bank's rules on mortgage deposits and income limits are really starting to bite, particularly the latter. As borrowers struggle to obtain mortgages because the banks have run out of exemptions, asking prices for houses are being scaled back. At the upper end of the market in Dublin, it is now obvious that many homes are taking much longer to sell. The impact of this on the new-house builders is that the expectations they may have had for sale prices in the future may not materialise. That feeds into the forecasts for profitability, and hence share prices suffer.

Anybody know why this stock is so strong??? All the price action in the market is at the low to very low end of the market, yet Cairn have been buying for big money new sites aimed at the high end!!!!

https://cantorfitzgerald.ie/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/New-Cantor-Daily-5-September-2017.pdfCairn is currently pricing at €1.71 after a gain of approx. 8% in under a month. We currently do not cover Cairn Homes but we would advise clients against buying in at these levels, with current price 8% above what the market believes is fair value.
