hsfinch - If what you say was the likely outcome I think FAR would drop the case. Much more likely they sell up and walk away.

https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/tori-48755089 Off topic for SNE but some fine terminology here. In Norway tugs listed to pre-lay Transocean Artic, that must be for Godalen PL842 which is next after Lynhaug. They can pre-lay well in advance, but perhaps Lynhaug will not be a long drill.

It is indeed and speculators are betting on a couple of outcomes. FAR wins or Woodside and / or ConocoPhillips pays them to go away. But what if FAR wins and the AP rules the original transaction to be invalid? Woodside would be delighted to hand back to ConocoPhillips. There'll be a huge delay. The government might do something silly and let the license time out...that's in December this year by the way. The big loser then might be CNE with 40% and something closer to 45% of the spend to date. Don't say it can't happen...it's Africa. Now who's going to pay FAR to go away? Not Woodside. Not CNE. ConocoPhillips maybe. You might think that the AP will find against FAR. But how long is that gonna take? This is getting really messy and CNE could be the loser. I'm speculating of course and would love to read a counter take.

Not very enlightening. I'm still worried about SNE. That there has been a significant delay is undeniable yet no explanations. Look how fast Premier and it's partners are moving in Mexico. Also 40% non operated is not sustainable and Senegal is looking dodgy after that Panorama piece. Concerning IMO.

Lack of any news on SNE is concerning. The FDP should have been approved by the government. No news means it hasn't been approved yet. Is the Panorama report on corruption in Senegal having an impact? What about FAR's arbitration hearing...is that throwing a spanner in? SNE is a lot more important than Noggy wildcats but investors don't know what's going on. Disappointing.

The top of the main reservoir, the Early Jurassic Ror Formation, was encountered at 1715.5 m underlying the Late Cretaceous Nise Formation. A gas column of 18.2 (1715.5 - 1733.7 m) was present in the Ror Formation, and an oil column of 22.3m was present in the Ror and Tilje Formations down to an OWC at 1756 m. This was the 6508/1-2 Skaugumsasen.

Partners in PL758 voted for extending the exploration license to drill the Klokkelyng segment of the Lynghaug prospect. The well is planned for 2019 drilling, and is targeting a lowside trap updip of the 2011 Skaugumsåsen oil & gas discovery (6508/1-2). Chance of finding hydrocarbons is good, and given success the discovery will open up for larger volume traps nearby. Can't find much about this prospect, this is what Skagen 44 said in 2017.

They've spudded and got the conductor in. Should be at target depth in 12 days. Don't expect much from these Noggy wildcats.

Looks as if the Transocean Arctic is at Lynhaug, as Cairn are the operator perhaps they could update us, not even a tweet as far as I can see.

Also that CNE might wish to sell all or part of their share, BP or Total plausible buyers, but that surely won't happen until the pre-emption rights arbitration started by FAR is settled. Enough arbitration I think.

Possibly, but there is a rumour FAR is in talks to sell its share of SNE. No doubt they'll announce if and when there's something to report.

There's a lot of potential here. SNE, Indian arbitration, exploration drilling in Mexico, (subsidised) Norwegian exploration drilling, U.K. exploration drilling, Catcher and Kraken production, frontier exploration in Mauritania, Nicaragua and Côte d'Ivoire. Nothing's changed but the share price performance is woeful. Therefore I'd expect takeover action before the end of year.
