22/6/2015 15:58 | Ignoring small trades the volume is promising. Someone building up - before the share price rerates to reflect the full value of the company? 700,000 15-06-2015 400,000 16-06-2015 3,865,000 18-06-2015 100,000 19-06-2015 650,000 22-06-2015 Recent Total 5,715,000 As most are late reported trades they seem to get missed off the various volume charts. Well done to BDP - his gas trading efforts do seem to have revived the share price a touch. --------------- JKX won a positive ruling in a lower Ukrainian court recently which said that the gas production tax should reduced back to 28%. The Ukrainian Government will be reaching their decision on the tax rates very soon - all the signs point to them being lowered to promote exploration and production activity. 22-06-2015 " .......... Royalties on gas production will decline for several months to drill to a depth of 5000 meters - from 55% to 35% for more than 5 thousand wells. Meters - from 28% to 14%. This was at the briefing said the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn, said "Ukrinform". "Royalties on gas production will decrease, it will happen over the next few months. For wells up to 5000 meters - from 55% to 35%, for wells deeper than 5 thousand meters - from 28% to 14%. This is more likely to be an intermediate step, "- said Demchyshyn. Minister predicts that during 2016 will be a transition to a more liberal tax system. According to him, the rental fee for the extraction of the resource will decline even more, and the main tax burden will go on operating profit. Demchyshyn also expects that any investor who invest money in gas, should get on their investments around 20% of revenue. "So we estimate adequate compensation for the contribution to the Ukrainian gas extraction" - he said. .............." -------------------- Looking good for Ukrainian producers. | stonefold

12/6/2015 12:25 | Volumes picked up in last few days....I like the rattling lid analogy....but I guess some long-term holders need more of a pressure cooker head of steam to make the share price recover. | waveneygnome
12/6/2015 09:33 | Cadogan have so many pans on the stove, eventually a lid will start to rattle. Perhaps if the company’s cash flow is breaking even it is no longer necessary for the Mcap to be at such a large discount to net cash? Cadogan were at a conference (20th + 21st May 2015) in Lviv. Perhaps that led to some interest in their drilling services or farm-out potential? 03-06-2015 Also attending were the drilling company previously rumoured to be partaking in WestGasInvest’ ENI’s last reported comment in January this year was that WGI intended to have one of the shale wells drilled by the end of 2015. As the nearest shale wells drilled just over the border in Poland were not successful it would be sensible to be cautious and assume the same outcome for WGI. That said the region has had plenty of evidence of oil and gas source rocks feeding conventional reservoirs so it is possible that there are pockets of shale bearing oil and/or gas. Having the presence of sufficient organic material and temperature to produce hydrocarbons is only part of the requirement. Until the shale rock is drilled (well-logging data and/or core samples analysed ?) they won’t know if it has the correct structure. If the shale rock has enough quartz and feldspar then it may be brittle enough to be fractured and rigid enough to maintain the fissures held apart by the propant (sand). If however the shale has too high a percentage of clay or half cooked organic sludge Kerogen bitumen, then fissures cannot be formed / maintained. 2014 --------edited to replace expired link ----- | stonefold
11/6/2015 16:12 | are we expecting an announcement? | targatarga
02/6/2015 13:21 | Billy - not sure if you have done your homework on this right. The current BOD had nothing to do with the original IPO. They have actually gone about buying up the shares in the open market using (i assume) their own private funds/or own controlled investment companies. They have actually reduced there salaries etc. Indeed if you read the last finacial accounts, one of the BOD waived his contractual payment altogether. The gas trading arm is an idea off their own backs...and looks like it could be a nice little earner. I am not a cheerleader for the BOD, and there are several areas that need improving - however compared to other AIM co's this lot aren't too bad......plus ITS THEIR OWN MONEY THEY ARE INVESTING/RISKING. The big question here is why they have not taken it private. | waveneygnome
02/6/2015 11:00 | This was a lifestyle flotation for the Directors. Raise a load of money. Buy some dodgy assets in a remote troubled region, promising huge returns to investors. Stall and do nothing blaming everything under the sun for slow/negligible progress. Draw nice fat Director salaries for holding meetings every once in a while. Oh, and throw in some all expenses paid holidays as part of the package too. Nice work if you can get it. | billy_liar
02/6/2015 10:31 | Had a look at the accounts, big names at the top with obvious connections. Drilling history appears lame. I would like to see some direction. Cutting overheads is good but still far too top heavy. imho | targatarga |
