Dell

Why would a company that is listed on the stock exchange be valued at zero?

Surely the listing alone is worth approx £250,000, before you take into account any goodwill, IPR etc....

If you are trying to deramp this one, it won't work pal.

Joe - I believe you are right about an improvement in their trading. What we do need to know however is some financial info that enable us to value the shares. My guess is that they are still undervalued.
The one thing to keep an eye on is how Jubilee Investments behave. They got their shares last year at 5p each. At the current bid they made 10%. If they start dumping then we should bail but if they don't then perhaps there's really good news to come. David Pearl (Chaiman) and K Bone (director) are directors of Jubilee.

I am confident that good news is ahead. Any improvement in recent trading will illustrate an upturn in this niche sector and this will obviously be reflected in the price.

Another great rise - I didn't think it would go much further after yesterday but good to see.

Points noted dell314 thanks for the information.

I did mention yesterday that apparently they bought out a new catologue (late december ??) and has been an insert in a number of magazines - matbe this has born some good results, the last results said once analysed they would release details ???

All imo.

Maybe the directors have forgotten that the shares are still listed hence no RNS as yet. LOL!

Gigiette - It is most likely a co-ordinated group ramping a small cap illiquid stock to squeeze market makers.

It's an enjoyable game but better if you are first in and out near the top before everyone tries to exit and marketmakers make it difficult to trade.
Often once the gain starts, others buy in, thinking that "something must be happening" to move the price.

This sort of rise may prompt a company RNS.
If it is a "we know of no reason blah blah", the price dives.
In the unlikely event that the rampers got lucky and there is something positive happening that the company can announce, then everyone is happy.

However, it's a dangerous game with CBO.
The price was depressed for a reason as recent results show that the company is in a dire position financially with a marketing network to support and minimal sales.
When a company relies on director loans rather than usual forms of finance, it is usually a danger sign.

DYOR and good luck...

Anyone out there?
What on earth could be going on?
Delighted of course, but totally bewildered!

Take care.
This company has negative tangible assets and notes to the last full results show its status as a going concern to be on shaky ground.
Tangible assets are negative....

double6,

Hi, looks like me and you be on a winner together for a change soon, but I am away tomorrow until 4pm. I will regret big time tomorrow for taking a profit on just over half my holding. I am still holding 28K.

Call me old fashioned, but is that not the whole idea of the stockmarket? You buy low from one person then sell high to another person? This certainly isn't the time nor the place to forge friendships ! (Apart from you and RL, of course)

LOL !

Unfortunately the only high street jeweller my wife drags me into is Mappin & Webb (although maybe that's considered tacky if you're a wealthy beggar). Anyway, that's the main reason I've ploughed my hard earned into AFD

Is there an RNS expected about CBO? I can't find any "impending news" but I guess something must be about to surface?

You forgot about Kleeneze - they have 'more than survived' long term.

By the way - Most high street jewellers sell 'tacky' jewelery.

Just realised due to a post by RL just WHERE I'd heard the name "Cabouchon" before.

It was a network marketing sales seminar I went to some years back.

I've been involved in several NM companies over the last 10 years, and they all seem to suffer from one thing. Lack of repeat business.

The are only two companies (correction - 3) that I've known survive long-term.

AMWAY was the one I forgot, Neways (still involved with), and Telecom PLUS..

YEP your local telecom, and utlitiy provider uses Network Marketing.

And my memories of CABOUCHON jewelry were distinctly TACKY, though I suspect they MAY have got their act together.

LOL!
More importantly, contrary to RL's comments, they don't actually have any shops anywhere.
They rely on agents selling similar to tupperware and betterware...

Hi Sue Helen,

I think Sinapore is in Australia, that was my guess as I dont bother to fully research a company before buying into them, but I do, do enough research to make out whether im going to do well or not.

Thanks Dell for the advize, your making me feel better for taking a profit. I had to and still hold 25886 shares left, whilst others may be able to afford to speculate longer and so may to rightly end up selling for 50% more than me. I have had 2 shares suspended for going up to much and this has taken 1 third of my trading funds away and I wont be able to hardly trade again if this happens here again.

Kind Regards
RL
