21/7/2014 16:44 | At 40p I would take a serious look - they have implemented an ambitious three year plan to 2017 over the whole group and if successful could be an attractive add on to one of the larger groups in the region. AO | a0148009
21/7/2014 12:57 | I traded this successfully about 18 months ago for a 20% gain....clearly if I had held on I could have got closer to 70% ! It has appeared on my radar again due to the divi crossing the 5% line. I have read some of the current trading updates and have to say that I struggle to understand the really big rise from 40 to 57 last year but with the share price trending back towards 45p the divi should provide support around that level. Clearly the next update needs to be positive to reverse the trend so I think I will just hold on until we see what it looks like. | salpara111

27/6/2014 11:42 | Is this challenge a new thing? I'm puzzled, given that the company as spent so long changing itself, splitting, selling assets, and now, at the end, well, shouldn't all be ready for a huge turn around? | djwr100
16/6/2014 23:08 | Chart looks a bit dodgy fraction below 200 day MA not helped by strength of Sterling - have finished selling assets now and challenged by tough competition - could fall to 45ish. AO | a0148009

25/4/2014 12:15 | Espirito CWC [CWC LN, 52.6p, BUY, FV 68p] has confirmed the disposal of the Co's 55% stake in Monaco Telecom to Iliad founder Xavier NIel. The price paid is $445m which is in line with that agreed in a proposed sale to Batelco last year but which was blocked by the Monegasque Govt. This time all regulatory consents have been received pre-announcement of the deal and CWC expects the transaction to complete in mid-May. The transaction will see CWC's net debt fall to c.$200m at FY14 (pro-forma $82m at 30 Sep 13). This marks a further step in the divestment by CWC of assets in its far-flung portfolio to focus more on the Caribbean and Central American region and is a positive catalyst for the CWC equity story and supportive of our FV of 68p ( deal multiple: 8.4x proportionate 12/13 EBITDA). In addition to Monaco, the Seychelles is the remaining material CWC asset marked for disposal ($110m was offered by Batelco but the deal was also not approved). The sale of Monaco Telecom is earnings dilutive due to CWC's limited ability to reduce financial costs in the near-term. Deployment of c$700m gross cash (post deal) should provide upside to estimates in the medium-term. We reiterate our Buy rating. | miata |
