The institutions arent doing the company a favour they are just using the situation to fill their boots ahead of a big deal. This next deal is likely be (potentially) bigger than the last one, so it could be huge.

Dont forget these are the institutions that shafted the company a few year ago when they walked into a meeting expecting a fund raising price of 40p+ only to find they were being held to ransom and it was changed to 20p at the last minute. The shares collapsed and there was huge dilution - also the institutions got a load of warrants at 28p as well.

Can't run a business on deal that might take longer than expected!! Already waited long enough !!! The business requires the cash now !! For investment !!

I tend to agree Alloa but I suspect it is to stop the potential partner trying to run the clock down on them to achieve a better deal. I'm disappointed because I thought we were beyond this stage but pleased that Polar capital are leading the raise and hope there is more good institutional support.

I think C4XD is a standout investment in the longer term and will eventually become a cash cow.

Unnecessary dilution in my book - just weeks away from the next deal and recently received circa £3m from Sanofi.

Great ideas but commericial sensitivity would probably stop them taking a 30% stake or taking he company over. However, there are other companies which would not have that issue which could take them over in a heart beat.

Sanofi should just buy the company! with 410Eur payments to come thy could buy the lot for £100!
Sanofi MKt Cap 123 Bn Eur! Even a 30% stake(say £30m) to get access to all other programmes would only be loose change.

They need to sign the next deal to get the market going again - they have been in "advanced talks" for over a year with some of the new treatments.

In a decent market that symbolic payment would have seen the shares flying. It means they are progressing and cicra £2.7m for the pot. This one is a potential long term cash cow and one to watch!
