Great entry opportunity today imo. From today's statement I take this.....C&C re-affirms the guidance given in its Pre-Close Trading Statement of 23 March 2023. Specifically, the Group expects to report operating profit of EUR84 million. C&C's strong free cash flow generation, together with increased balance sheet strength will also enable a re-instatement of dividend payments to shareholders, with respect to FY2023.Come back in 6 months and things should look very different.,

Just being cautious at the moment

“we have been partly insulated and as a consequence have broadly met customer demand through the peak summer trading period. We continue to work closely with our partners to meet the resurgence in demand”

“Partly” and “broadly”; cover a multitude… I don’t quite take the same conclusion as you AG.

The gas situation at the moment will also inevitably hit CO2 supplies in the drink industry and I want to see how it plays out.

Small holding at the moment. As you know I am a supporter of CCR… just think there may be an entry price this year which is preferable.

Good luck

1lilac, you're not really in a 'nice profit'. Rights issues are a bit of a smoke & mirrors con in that what gets given on one hand gets taken away from the other. Therefore, whilst you may be able to sell the nil paid shares (CCRN)that you got 'given for free' for 63p this is offset by the drop you've suffered in the value of your original shares from 270p last night to 249p now (because they no longer trade with the benefit of the rights entitlement).

It's no coincidence that the difference in price between CCRN and CCR is 186p!

In spite of how they're dressed up, overall rights issues don't actually give existing holders any price advantage over anyone else buying in the market.

Bumper year for CCR as everyone is forced to stay in the UK and Eire this Summer. US rollout of vaccine doing very well indeed too. London stock market left behind by the world and signs that that may be about to change today.

I'd be surprised if the market wasn't pricing anything other than a catastrophic period in for CCR. That's fine though, it's why we're still down 50% from highs. We have a strong balance sheet and can weather the storm. Potentially we are an attractive take over target at our current market cap.

I have added a few more just at 213 on the back of what's sounding like an imminent "Brexmas" trade deal. Also added to my FTSE100 long to hopefully ride what's left of the santa rally should it come.

CCR still yet to bounce much
