Its strange how you get to think the MM's are targeting you but 99% of the time they are just reacting to the superior amount of information they get from the market which determines how they shape their book.I have always said its never a level playing field even with level 2 which does give a bit more visibility but thats not going to change so its all about second guessing.

And now that I've bought some, they appear to have switched the sell quote off! So it feels like they're trying to tempt buyers with the low quote vs official spread, presumably because there's a biggish sell order. Or they're just bored and messing with us, trying to create some volume.

So when looking at the advfn trades listing I interpret trades at 6.41 as sells and trades at 6.40 as buys. Quite bizarre.

Why can't every stock be like that.

Just tried it out. I can apparently buy at 6.40 and sell at 6.41 on HL. Same thing happened on another stock the other day. Perhaps a sign that there is a bit of competition between MMs.

Lots of other companies are also stocked up before retail opens, which means a higher risk of unsold stock.

They wouldn't want to be left with unsold stock.

On looking through their list most of them seem to have a supply so stocked up before retail opens.

Yes, they have been for a while. And they're not the only ones showing out-of-stock on the concentrate.

The ghost,
" Also have a feeling good yoy growth but a bit lower than 1h."

Obviously they will have good yoy growth because of the pandemic, which was a positive impact.

Re: Growth lower than H1. They increased Consumer sales by only £590k to around £1m, during the busy pandemic period, H1 Apr-Sept, so any lower would be shocking!.

£590k (yes k) increase in global consumer sales during H1 (Apr-Sept) when there's the biggest pandemic to hit the globe is not impressive.

That includes Boots, Homeandcleaning, direct website sales etc etc...Global consumer sales.

Consumer:

"H1 revenues more than doubled to £1.01m from £0.41m, including a small amount of IP-based income, versus nil IP income in the comparable period. Gross profit (on products) increased to £0.43m from £0.17m. "
"Elsewhere, sales across existing customers all increased in this segment, especially into Japan via our longstanding agents in pet and healthcare."

Best wait until the TU.

Possibly. It perhaps depends on what third-party interest they already have. Is there a big enough funding party (probably not Boots?) ready to pull the trigger on a big launch before seeing the results of the study? If not, they might be better to get the data, get the patent applications filed, work out the product set and go to potential partners armed with a really convincing story about how and why it works...

"The grant is specifically for research into seaweeds in sanitising products, but we believe the resulting discoveries will have significance outside of Byotrol's core markets, including potentially animal feedstuffs."...

"This programme, which Byotrol has been exploring for many years has demonstrated high potency anti-viral action from extracts from commonly-occurring seaweeds, the results of which have already supported a new patent filing by the Group. Byotrol expects to file further patents as the programme develops."

I am not sure about that 1gw,they have been looking at this for quite some time earlier than September(See my post 7882)and must have acquired a lot of data already. Marinomed came out with brilliant results recently so waiting another year and giving any early to market advantage away I think would be a mistake.

I would think they might focus on their existing products in the near-term and leave the seaweed stuff until they have the results of the study for which they got the grant. The grant was for a 16-month study starting in September, so it should wrap up towards the end of this calendar year.

yes this has 10p target easily in it's reach... seaweed product to prove to be a natural help to prevent covid illness or at least prevent serious illness from anti-inflammatory properties...

Any seaweed product will be quick to market if viable as it's a natural product and doesn't need to go through all the testing
