Really good slide on Actizone timeline and progress (The steps towards Actizone) on the Solvay site. See the last slide in the presentation linked below. It looks as though they have already achieved, or are just about to, sales in Germany and Indonesia/Thailand. This is going to be big, I think.

"Development of a portfolio of customer projects (Wings, Henkel, RB, Clorox, Diversey, LG, Ecolab)."

"First sales in EU (Germany) and AP (Indonesia & Thailand)."

All we know is that the Americans had the turtle Wax deal already lined up before they signed the byotrol dealBut did DT know that?

Milesy I still think is worth a try with DT especially to know the structure with IRI and Turtle Wax as thats not really a straight forward license.Come on DT lets see you do another Michael Caine impersonation we are due one now

Riddler - as you've suggested, details of commercials would be highly confidential and unlikely ever to be put in the public domain beyond knowing it's some kind of royalty, so as not to prejudice future deals or raise eyebrows at existing licencees.

Looks like the Walmart listing has a tab now to alert when back in stock so lets see when that is.It does make you think that between Walmart and Amazon in the US you must have to have an enormous amount of product made and just sitting there in stores and especially in their hubs to feed any online demand.Does anyone know how the royalty fee would be derived for IRI.Would it be per litre of ingredient or a percentage of the trade price per item .How would that then work with Turtle Wax maybe as like a sub licence do we go halves with IRI.I know this is probably deemed as confidential but its just the structure that would be nice to know....another for DT at the next Q&A

We have a price on the Walmart page ($5.97/bottle), but it's out of stock. I hope that's because demand has been huge, but since the price has only just been populated I fear it might be a supply chain issue - but it could still be that they've prioritised the stores rather than the online operation.

The price is quite a lot cheaper on a unit basis (per oz) than the byotrol24 offered on the byotrol24 site ($39.99 for 3 32oz bottles, although with free shipping).

I don't think it's been mentioned that Finncap have reiterated their target price of 11p. So still plenty of upside.

And this extract from their note re the Actizone tie-up gives a flavour of the additional potential upside:

"The long-term valuation of Byotrol lies not just in the underlying growth metrics of the business but also the continuing exploitation of IP and the value of a growing royalty stream, which as indicated above could rise to c.£5m+ for Actizone alone in the next 5 years. The value of such a post-tax royalty stream could be worth c.£100m, which would imply a 25x P/E multiple."

Besides the picture on the byotrol24 front page? i.e. "Meets Airbus and Boeing Interior Cleaning Specs"

From the EPA registration it looks to me as though we aren't going to see (at least not imminently) a Turtle Wax-like deal in this sector where a company active in the sector puts their brand on byotrol24 and markets it as "their" product. But I presume byotrol24 (i.e. IRI) are actively targeting the sector and so we might well see a supply deal (or there might already be an unannounced one) whereby byotrol24 is sold to a company that is active in the sector - i.e. the product would be byotrol24, not a rebranded version of byotrol24.

A couple of other takes on the EPA (byotrol24) registration. On the following page you can search by company (byotrol) holding the original registration, or by company (Turtle Wax) acting as a distributor.

If you search for Turtle Wax distributor products by entering %-94827 in the first search box ("EPA Registration, Distributor Product...") you can see, I think, that Turtle Wax did indeed have a different Defend-X product registered in 2019 (mpale antimicrobial). They trademarked "Defend-X" in 2019. You can also see that they appear not to be acting as distributor for any other products on the "Section 3" registration.

And secondly, if you search for byotrol registered products by entering 83614-% in the search box, it appears the 2 Turtle Wax products are the only 2 on the list apart from the byotrol products themselves. So it appears that at present Turtle Wax is the only "distributor" for the product other than byotrol.

Looks like IRI were already aware of a Turtle wax deal when they signed.

Lets hope Byotrol didn't give to much away.

Might be worth finding out what the 'Americas' actually means.

A bit of idle googling for the anoraks.

Here's the EPA product registration for the new Turtle Wax product, "Multi Purpose Cleaner and Disinfectant" in its retail form, "Defend-X" in its Move Clean form.

Interestingly, the first registered date is given as 7th July 2020, so about 5 months from registration to launch of the retail product and the registration was less than 2 months after byotrol announced the licence agreement with IRI.

Note the "Section 3 (related registered product)", which is byotrol24 (aka detsan), registration here:

In each case, click on the "Alt Brand Name" to see Defend-X for the Turtle Wax product and various byotrol names for the original.

Then to see them all together on a State list, look at page 67 of the list linked below (NY State registered coronavirus disinfectants), you can see the byotrol24 products next to the Turtle Wax products.

Tristel and Mr Blue Typeface can keep their highly valued paper thanks very much. Why would you want to give it away now when we are just at the start of realizing our true potential.Look at Finncap's note to see what the IP licenses could be worth over the coming years. As the board keep saying the landscape for our products has changed for good so lets reap the benefits.

"I can't see why Tristel won't use it's highly valued paper to take us out."

Try this ... ... for starters ...

RNS Number : 6629A
03 April 2012

Termination of supply arrangement
Tristel plc ("Tristel"), the manufacturer of infection control, contamination control and hygiene products, announces that it has terminated its supply arrangement with Medichem International (Marketing) Limited ("Medichem") for disinfectants and cleaning products.

Tristel will now directly market these products to veterinary practices, hospitals and industry under Tristel related brands. Tristel has been Medichem's principal supplier following its acquisition of the intellectual property and manufacturing rights for these products in June 2009. Since then Tristel's annualised sales to Medichem have been approximately £2 million.

Good to see coverage of BYOT on Investors' Champion:

"Byotrol: positive results

Byotrol (LON: BYOT), the specialist infection prevention and control company, announced excellent results for the six months ending 30 September 2020.

Sales trebled to £6.7m and the operating profit increased to c. £1.0m, compared to an operating loss of £0.5m in the comparable period.

The net operating cash inflow was only £558k after more significant investment in inventory, with net cash and cash equivalents of £1.7m at the period end.

While Byotrol has been a beneficiary of the pandemic, management still expects sales to settle at levels significantly higher than pre-COVID, and their order book remains consistently higher now than at any other point in their history."

I am surprised how quiet the byot bulletin boards are given the news today and the Turtle Wax launch late-ish on Friday. Have we lost the crowd that got on board early in the pandemic?

By far the biggest development today for me was the reveal on Actizone royalty level. Admittedly it is finnCap's view rather than an official byotrol guide but it appears to be an order of magnitude higher than I had been fearing after DT's comments about it being more of a "commission" than a "royalty" and "very small commission in % terms". If finnCap are in the right ballpark then Actizone really could be huge for byotrol given their current market cap.

Can't wait for some colour on Move Clean and the Turtle Wax retail proposition. Looking forward to some video interviews making it to the internet as part of any post-interims roadshow.
