Slice, given you are close to the company, do they still think they will have supply chain issues if there's a NO deal Brexit, which looks increasingly likely by June, 3 months away!! Brexit: in their 2018 Annual Report, they stated: "On Brexit we expect the chemical industry to continue to follow EU rules, that we believe are generally appropriate for our industry for which we are already well-positioned. Our greatest concern is that a no-deal exit could create supply chain issues, especially on incoming raw materials, so we watch political progress with some interest and will take precautionary steps should we need to." https://byotrolplc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/2018-Annual-Report.pdf "Brexit The Directors estimate that the Group will sell over £0.5m of products into the EU in FYE 31 March 2020. As such the Group is therefore exposed to negative impacts of Brexit, be it on demand as a result of newly-imposed tariffs or on issues with transport logistics or supply chain. The Directors are monitoring the situation closely." https://byotrolplc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Byotrol-Annual-Report-FY-2018-19.pdf Possible No Deal Brexit in June... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-51650961

so it looks like from the link MaxK posted that China is now on top of the outbreak with cases sharply lower... Still no contracts/partnerships announced. Over 4 weeks now and still their 1 product at Boots shows as 'out of stock' Seems like another missed opportunity for Byot.

'Victory' against coronavirus is in sight, says China's UN ambassador Cases in the country fell to a six-week low of 125 By Sarah Newey and Nicola Smith 3 March 2020 • 7:25pm China’s ambassador to the United Nations has declared that the country is winning in the fight against coronavirus as the number of new cases hit a six week low. Just 125 infections were confirmed on Tuesday in China, down from a peak of more than 15,000 new cases a day at the start of February. Zhang Jun, the ambassador to the UN, said that the decline demonstrated that “we are not far from the coming of the victory.” The World Health Organization added that the “decline is real” - early on in the epidemic there were concerns that the data provided by Chinese authorities was inconsistent. “We have seen a decline in cases since the end of January… we scrutinized this data and we believe that this decline is real,” Dr Maria Van Kerkhove, a WHO outbreak expert and a member of the investigative team who travelled to China last month, said on Tuesday.... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/03/03/victory-against-coronavirus-sight-says-chinas-un-ambassador/

On your own? Your post.. 1gw - 09 Nov 2015 - 15:14:17 - 10868 of 11771 blinkx - BLNX Somewhat wary of doing this, but if it helps, I can confirm that I do now talk fairly frequently to shroder about blinkx and other investments that one or both of us may hold. As it seems very difficult to have a sensible and balanced conversation on these blinkx bulletin boards about common investing questions of interest, we have reverted to the more time-consuming but ultimately more effective method of direct communication for some discussions."

In view of the blizzard of fantasy from sikhthetech yesterday, perhaps I should just clarify my position. I sold 10% of my holding over Friday afternoon and the first hour of Monday morning in a total of 7 transactions, the smallest of which was 50k shares. As already stated in post 4700, byotrol had hit around 33% portfolio weight on Friday, which is far too high for me as a long-term position in a single company, particularly a minnow such as byotrol. This prompted me to sell 10% of my holding (not 10% portfolio weight). Given the rise yesterday it is again approaching the 1/3 portfolio weighting. If the shareprice continues to rise I shall likely make further sales for portfolio weighting reasons. I have a notional target of a max 10% weighting in any individual company, but am prepared to run significantly above that weighting for periods of time, particularly where the share price is having a good run or I believe strongly in the potential of the company (both true here). I act on my own behalf and do not co-ordinate trades or positions with anyone else. I know of no "gang" acting on these threads and believe that sikhthetech confuses the "community of interest" on here with "co-ordinated action". i.e. most posters are long and therefore naturally inclined to post in a bullish manner, but that does not mean they are acting together.

This is why the gang are dumping... The share price is higher than last May, before the long slide.. The issues causing the share price slide are still there.. Last May when the share price was lower: 1) Byot were close to signing a 2nd national retailer 2) Byot had the Tesco contract which served them well 3) No one was expecting any accounting irregularities 4) Trial at Target extended to more sites and was expecting even more. etc Now the share price is higher but: 1) 2nd national retailer NEVER SIGNED, WHY? 2) Byot LOST the TESCO CONTRACT, no replacement announced 3) ACCOUNTS NOT QUALIFIED 4) appointed an agency (costing money) in US and STILL seeking partnerships 5) Trial at Target ENDS NEXT month but so far not rolled out to all stores.. etc etc The share price is now significantly higher based on HOPE and without any of those issues, which caused the share price to fall, being resolved. Honest Guv!!!

PUMP 1gw - 27 Feb 2020 - 22:18:09 - 4654 of 4706 BYOTROL-CAN DELIVER AMAZING RESULTS - BYOT Do you think this is a good time to be looking for an investment partner in the US who can put serious marketing resource into a road-tested new consumer product which "eliminates OVER 99.9% of germs and keeps surfaces sanitized for 24 HOURS with a revolutionary NON-TOXIC cleaning formula"? And if financial terms with a partner are already all but nailed down, and can't be reopened, do you think this would be a good time to launch such a product nationally? What about Solvay and Actizone? Do you think the current environment might push them into getting their finger out and doing a proper launch of a product based on that technology? It seems to me that the 24-hour claim might be particularly attractive in the current environment. 1gw - 27 Feb 2020 - 21:46:46 - 4651 of 4706 BYOTROL-CAN DELIVER AMAZING RESULTS - BYOT Not many places to hide in this market. Apart from investors throwing in the towel on individual stocks, I guess lots of money is being pulled, or is going to be pulled, from funds - which may then force institutional selling on a fairly indiscriminate basis. So byotrol potentially is a winning stock on two counts: products for which demand seems likely to grow as the coronavirus incidence becomes more widespread (so "a place to hide" in the market); and not much of an institutional base. And that's on top of the underlying investment case (the reason I and I suspect many of the longer-term holders have been buying over the last few years) built around turnaround of the business under David Traynor's leadership through tight control of costs, development of IP that is at the leading edge of regulatory change, getting regulatory approval for products based on that IP and now (through the Medimark acquisition) moving into sales and marketing, with major upside possible through licensing/partnership deals. Now where's that US deal? Obviously wouldn't sell given the huge potential sikhthetech - 28 Feb 2020 - 09:57:02 - 4678 of 4706 BYOTROL-CAN DELIVER AMAZING RESULTS - BYOT obviously your 'mate' 1gw won't be selling any today... ;-) Oh, he did DUMP some on Friday - funny that 1gw - 02 Mar 2020 - 08:56:56 - 4697 of 4706 BYOTROL-CAN DELIVER AMAZING RESULTS - BYOT That was you selling out, stt, was it? What do you want me to say? Congratulations on getting the first trade? I've sold 10% of my holding at an average of just under 4p, mainly today, but a small amount on Friday, when it was more difficult to sell any quantity on a quote & deal or even worked order basis. Much easier this morning and there seems to have been good demand, even just above 4p.
