28/1/2020 09:37 | from a post on another shares website "Jan 16- 40 confirmed cases Jan 20- 291 sick Jan 21- 440 sick Jan 22- 571 sick, 17 dead Jan 23- 830 sick, 26 dead Jan 24- 1287 sick, 41 dead Jan 25- 1975 sick, 41 dead Jan 26- 2748 sick, 80 dead Today- 4515 confirmed cases, 106 dead" if there is a time between registered as being sick due to this virus & possible death of say 5 days then it would be 106 dead from 571 sick that would be a % of 106/571 = 19% essentially 1 in 5 dying ! so you can understand why China is not letting anyone in or out of that city of ~X million people ! ---- if the number of days is 1 less then the % of infected ppl that die would be 107/830 =13% still a frighteningly high % & why China is taking such strong action ---- these are rough numbers, & we may never know the exact % since China will probably not want to reveal it ---- a % of 10% would equate to >X million deaths in China alone if it is not contained & is as contagious as it appears to be. :-( | smithie6
28/1/2020 07:47 | reposting part of a post from Mudbath on 25th Jan. (& included above in the thread header but only if you click on "more") (note : Byotrol24 emits no chemical fumes & you dont need to wear gloves (big advantage over bleach & chlorine products, especially for shops/medical centres etc where product might be used with the public/clients around)) from an article on Digitaljournal.com hxxp://www.digitaljo ".... Byotrol24 is specially formulated as a non-harsh disinfectant and long-lasting sanitizer that emits no chemical fumes and requires no gloves for use.... Byotrol24 is a scientific breakthrough in germ control. It has been thoroughly tested and proven to kill a wide range of germs, including coronaviruses, and to control germs for a long period of time,” said Dr. Trevor Francis, chief technology officer for Byotrol. “This EPA-registered, nontoxic disinfecting formula with 24-hour sanitizing power can help stop the spread of germs and potentially save lives.” ----- marketing with 'keeps working for 24 hours'....& trademarked....& nice packaging...good solid work/preparation has gone in here imo. | smithie6
28/1/2020 07:40 | Target in the USA currently only lists 2 Byotrol products (well the initial trial only started a short time ago) hxxps://www.target.c (1 being with the smell of "Hawaian Sunrise Citrus" , oooh) hopefully/surely the crisis gives the opportunity to add other Byotrol disinfecting products at Target (if the world wants disinfecting products....well, that's what Byotrol do, they are specialists & also the co. they bought in 2018 to grow the size of the co. :-) ) | smithie6
28/1/2020 00:15 | marketing I wonder if the co. is good at using the internet, twitter, social media, youtube, web based influencers, a TV comment or article could work wonders (well, in any countries with infected ppl in hospital I assume that there will be some newspaper/press article or TV chat about how to minimise the risks of getting infected, such as wearing a mask & also which disinfectants kill this coronavirus so phps the marketing dept. need to get samples & infosheets to every TV channel in the countries where there are ppl in hospital (keep someone busy !) & to the big tv channels in 'Rich Countries'....German the possibility of fantastic free peak time publicity on TV are very very high during this crisis & phps quite low the rest of the time. ---- this crisis gives a much higher chance imo that Byotrol can achieve many new first users of their products in the USA, which gives good product exposure & those sales might turn into on-going repeat sales. The virus crisis also helps to get Byotrol disinfectant products onto store shelves & added to the catalogues of suppliers to hospitals/clinics & to be used by professional sanitation/disinfect | smithie6
27/1/2020 23:26 | Do they have a Chinese distributor? | supernumerary
27/1/2020 22:35 | Target in USA has been running a test by stocking a Byotrol spray product "24 spray...kills bacteria/virus etc of cold, flu" appears that many stores don't stock it some that do are almost sold out...& only have 1 or 2 sprays left hxxps://www.target.c USA. ~300 million ppl. its big. you cant run a trial & put product in every shop, the cost of stock wld be too big...& this is a microcap co. ---- in any case, the historic income to the co. of selling to the public has been a small % of turnover most of turnover comes from selling for professional use, including the medical sector ---- this virus crisis should surely help get the test sprays sold & hopefully the product will be liked & those ppl will return in the future & who knows, some buyers might be from small shops, offices that will want better disinfectant due to the news about the new virus & may then continue to use the product in the future ....in a shop you dont to be spraying a bleach or chlorine liquid repeatedly on to your counter or door handles during the day...the unpleasant smell would put off customers & staff wouldnt be happy either ...& with cold USA winter....you cant prop the door open for ventilation. (the chlorine based spray I used warned that you must only use with decent ventilation (u can't/won't do that at 0C or -5C in say Michigan)....otherwi ---- many competing products seem to use bleach or chlorine which are unpleasant smells that you would want to avoid if you could whereas the Byotrol spray isn't bleach based & it is lavender smell (so the bottle says) I know which one imo sounds like it is much nicer to use (& the packaging looks good, & the "effective for 24 hours" is good marketing imo) ---- lets remember that in the USA they are much more into disinfecting than here in Europe, imo. so the market is big & if Byotrol can obtain just a tiny % of the market then it could really help the co. & the share price (& any products packaged for USA can hopefully be used as is in other English speaking countries, with a small sticker added for importer or responsable in that country) in the USA in the 90's it was normal/common to put plastic on a WC seat after cleaning it in hotels, whereas it wasn't normal in Europe | smithie6
27/1/2020 22:16 | Kcowe, don't you like discussing the bull and bear points... I stated why I bought in earlier... But that doesn't mean posters pump and hide the massive red flags to reduce their massive losses here, does it? There's still some time to go before the results are out.... sikhthetech27 Jan '20 - 14:49 - 3973 of 4004 Edit 0 0 3 I bought some earlier...purely on the basis the Coronavirus will keep people interested and 1gw and his mates are pumping these.... Will look at selling before any TU... Obviously 1gw won't be selling ANY as he's confident of a major deal closing soon, will you 1gw??? ;-) | sikhthetech
27/1/2020 22:05 | sikh... if you not like sell up .. | kcowe
27/1/2020 21:53 | accounts haven't been qualified - it doesn't matter what the actual amount is, big or small, they can lead to investigations and a bigger black hole... Remember CAKE (PatVal) etc... | sikhthetech
27/1/2020 21:31 | And on catalysts, there is also Solvay in the background. Could the coronavirus issue give them the imptetus to actually go ahead and put serious marketing spend behind Actizone? Solvay promoting an Actizone product and a US partner promoting byotrol24 could really transform this company's scale. | 1gw
27/1/2020 21:25 | Sikh Can you explain/justify your moans about the accounts ? I had a look & the auditor said that they didnt get a reply from Lloyds bank confirming that a total of 89k was in 3-4 accounts at a subsidiary. With a note that the BOD later moved 86k from those accounts to a new bank. (imo since not impressed with the hassle/problem that Lloyds had created) so, imo it looks clear that - the money was there - that the problem was just that Lloyds bank didnt reply to the auditors & hence that financial numbers were correct so I don't understand what you are complaining about (also 89k is a small fraction of the 2M cash held by the co.) | smithie6
27/1/2020 21:20 | Agree sentiment is important. And sentiment here has been pretty beaten-up, not least because of serious selling pressure over an extended period (including Ruffer and Fidelity). So if that 3m sale the other day did represent the clearing of the latest overhang, then that combined with the other actual and potential catalysts could provide a very positive environment for a sustained recovery. Those other catalysts include, imo: o Short-term and now perhaps momentum trading triggered by coronavirus "analysis"; o Announcement of any US funding deal to facilitate volume sales of byotrol24; o Announcement of any licensing deals for non-core technologies; o News on any outperformance vs expectations of sales into NHS under SC Johnson deal; o Delivery of synergies from Medimark deal once earn-out is completed at end-March. | 1gw
27/1/2020 21:02 | Has there been anything to say that the accounts are now qualified... The fact remains whilst the accounts have not been qualified, that is a huge red flag, along with all the other red flags and therefore not an investment... The fact remains a 2nd retailer didn't sign and the Target trial, which has been ongoing for around 18months hasn't resulted in any partnership... why should there be a 'good deal'... Have the accounts been qualified? " Whilst it may have been possible eventually to obtain a suitable response, the length of time this may have required was indeterminate, and the Board took the decision that the interests of shareholders were best served by publishing the accounts with the consequential qualified audit opinion but resulting in the lifting in the suspension from trading on AIM. " | sikhthetech
27/1/2020 20:53 | Sentiment is everything , by the way 3m masks are selling out on ebay and amazon .. it does not take alot of investors to understand the potential here to make large moves in the price .. and still near all time lows ..and a micro cap at that . | kcowe
27/1/2020 20:45 | Interesting day, in a good way! Almost got to my average purchase price at the high. I still think the major tangible upside for byotrol here, if terms have not yet been agreed on a US byotrol24 partnership, is the increased probability of a good US deal. i.e. potential investing counterparties will be seeing greater upside in terms of sales potential from a given marketing commitment in a scenario where the coronavirus scare endures and/or becomes more real in the US. And if byotrol haven't yet launched the "final bid" round of any process, that might be reflected in higher bids. And if byotrol have already agreed key commercial terms for a US byotrol24 partnership then that in itself could (probably should) provide upside in shareprice terms when it is announced - in terms of reducing the risk of them not finding a partner. | 1gw
27/1/2020 20:31 | looks like chlorine based sprays are shown on those pages....products from different companies, not Byotol I've used a chlorine handheld spray bottle....to try to remove/kill black mould on bathroom silicone immediately I had to leave the bathroom the fumes are not supportable, at all....& the bottle is covered with health warnings. so I cant see that type being successful for repeat sales (I think I still have that spray...I've never used it again) | smithie6
27/1/2020 20:27 | Or more usefully and meaningful, sort by:- LSE % Gainers Top Lists EPIC BYOT Name Byotrol Top gainer + 24.5% | mudbath
27/1/2020 20:09 | Byotrol on Target.com say looking for antibacterial/disinf Search Byot ONLY retailer Target.com for 'Disinfectant Spray'... Sort by BEST SELLER: Byotrol doesn't appear on 1st page. Sort by Relevance: Byotrol doesn't appear on 1st page. Sort by Featured: Byotrol doesn't appear on 1st page. Same goes if you search for 'Antiseptic Spray'. 27/1/2020 20:05 | slice, thanks for confirming... so you're not close to the company...keep up the pretence though, it might fool a few... ;-) | sikhthetech
27/1/2020 19:40 | the co. won't reveal its production limit per day but/and, in any case they can makes changes like move to dbl shift if needed or subcontract to external fillers --- anyone know what the key ingredients are & if any problems in obtaining/producing those if volume jumps ? | smithie6
27/1/2020 19:09 | Given slice is so close to management (according to Mudbath), that should be a very simple question for him... Will they be able to meet any demand before the Coronavirus scare subsides??. Not only make these products but the logistics as well... Sliceofpie???? Smithie627 Jan '20 - 17:44 - 3985 of 3988 0 0 0 if there are big orders.... ...how long does is take to make these products ? | sikhthetech
27/1/2020 19:08 | What do you mean. Shares were resisted and results published. | the ghost who walks
27/1/2020 18:29 | ...alcohol based ..yes, I've used that at a hospital alcohol....various drawbacks including being a strong de-greaser....so its not very kind to/for human hands/skin | smithie6
27/1/2020 18:21 | The opinion of 5.8% holder on their investment in Byotrol:- "Amati VCTs had enjoyed growth from a company in a similar sector, Tristel plc, but decided against investing in Byotrol until 2017. According to Dr Jourdan, new management has been turning the business around and there have been several crucial developments: it has developed strong commercial partnerships, it has recently gained FDA approval in the US, and has recently acquired a business that with supply agreements to the NHS, allowing it to sell its alcohol-free hand sanitizers that reduce skin irritation compared to competing alcohol-based products. This brings it in line with Amati’s criteria of having developed a strong market position to fuel its own growth in years to come." It would be interesting should Amati Global take the current low BYOT share price to increase its holding above 5.80 %. | mudbath
27/1/2020 17:48 | interesting thought Smithie6, as demand will explode if the fear of the coronavirus infects peoples minds... everyone will want best in class ... | kcowe |
