Vanadium demand versus supplyThe charts below (see link) show energy storage to be a new source of vanadium demand, and overall demand looks likely to grow very strongly to 2025.Vanadium total demand forecast to outstrip supply 2020-2025Source: Technology Metals Australia investor presentation & TTP SquaredRoskill estimates that vanadium demand "for VRFB markets" could rise to 31,000 tons by 2025, amounting to a rise of 3,100% in a decade.hTTps://seekingalpha.com/article/4382445-vanadium-miners-news-for-month-of-october-2020

Despite an ongoing de-synchronisation between China and the rest of the world, it now appears that China's appetite for imported vanadium has started to fade, weighing on European prices in recent months. Looking forward, although Chinese demand should remain strong, with sizable inventories now built and a recovery in the rest of the world still some way off, there appear to be limited near-term positive price drivers for vanadium.https://roskill.com/roskill-product/vanadium-cost-model-service/?utm_source=RWR&utm_campaign=04e6673c92-Vanadium+Cost+Model+service+%5BMN-HH-0180%5D&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c2ff94622f-04e6673c92-62263420

Yes, that is strange behaviour for anyone.

Personally I don't particularly care who anyone on here is as long as their points are reasonable. Sometimes nvhltd makes good points. Unfortunately they get buried between a lack of understanding of business and the obvious vitriol.

The electrolyte plant is a good point. I believe that I made the point that you wouldn't build a plant until you had a market so it would be no surprise that it would not supply any Eskom win. But the company is certainly guilty of not informing the market in a timely fashion when things don't go to plan. I have dealt with a SA company before and one of the attributes that was most difficult to deal with was that they did not like to disappoint so they would always say 'yes' even if the answer was really 'no'. I see that with Fortune and BMN as well unfortunately.

Rich KenToday 20:23Apparently he's telling everyone that Avacta scientists based in South Africa are at the forefront when it comes to developing the most effective vaccine (code name is CVV - Covid vanadium vaccine) and that the efficacy of this will mean both BMN and Avacta stocks will become unicorns. Unbelievable

The penny is starting to drop. Even Bigbitenow can see the electrolyte plant is overdue by 3 years, won’t be ready until at least a July 2022 and therefore absolutely no chance of supplying the ESKOM BESS.

It’s been obvious to anyone with half a brain and is able to cut through all the hype that Fortune and Mikhail have failed to hit their own targets.

We have benefitted by countless delays to the BESS contracts, but despite that we still have failed miserably.

Failed to offer a working VRFB to test at ESKOM and now we’ve failed to deliver a simple electrolyte plant to benefit from a huge contract award.

These two need to come clean on their failings rather than ignore them like they never happened.

No wonder Fortune is borrowing more money and diluting our holdings. So much for him doing something to arrest the share price decline.

The share price is probably heading south currently, due to two main things that have recently come to light. 1) The chemical plant will not be supplying any electrolyte to the battery storage market (let alone any of the SA tender packages) until sometime after the building has been kitted out and handed over in July 2022. Shipping costs across the world to their partners in the U.K. to produce electrolyte maybe justified for a specific 'showcase type' reason or even for any actual European based projects ... but going to be a rather expensive option for any actual SA based contracts they might win. 2) Yellow Dragon appear to have recently taken up the selling baton from Golden Summit, they have sold several millions of their direct holdings ... it's unknown if that is going to continue, it may not, another large seller may be nothing to worry about. BUT if it continues, what is the likelihood of their disposal being extended to their much larger 70 million plus share holding in Orange Trust?
